slithy toves
i'm not really creeped out or afraid of creepy crawlies, probably the only time i get really freaked out is if i can feel a spider or other bug somewhere on me and i can't tell what it is. that's probably the only time i might actually kill something, trying to get it off of me. but at my parent's house we had a bunch of moles outside near the bushes we had around our house and my cats used to kill moles all the time and leave them like all over the place for us. one day i was sleeping in and my dad was going in and out of the house for some kind of yard project, lets in my kitty who had apparently just killed a mole and the cat came right into my bedroom and proceeded to crawl into my bed and drop a half a dead mole directly onto my chest. he then nudged me in the face proudly to get me to wake up and i was like what is slimy and hard and on me, and it was the mole, and it's guts and it's spinal cord. my cat was so proud.
MagicMagicPony
My house frequently has brown recluses in the fall. Yuck! Luckily I've never been bit! I have. It's not so fun.
The Zigmeister
These really ugly geckos show up in warm weather. They have like, semi-transparent skin.
Tiffany
My house frequently has brown recluses in the fall. Yuck! Luckily I've never been bit! I have. It's not so fun. I could imagine. I'm surprised they haven't bitten my. This past fall we ended up killing at least two a day until we sprayed. These really ugly geckos show up in warm weather. They have like, semi-transparent skin. Ugly geckos? Like... house geckos? <3 They're so cute! Edited January 4, 2011 by Tiffany
Showmeyomoves!
I don't think we have these brown recluses over here. What happens when they bite you? Edited January 5, 2011 by Showmeyomoves!

Yantelope
Yeah, they kill a large section of skin. It's really pretty awful, worse than black widows.

Outkastprince
Earwigs and any kind of blood-suckers should stay out of my home. I am a vengeful person on intruders. I came over to your home one time! Was just returning the brush you lent me for my glorious hair! I spent weeks flushing out that raid chemicals out my eye. On the bright side, roaches considered me a part of the family.
Chewblaha
We had a gecko running around the house. I was about to pick him up and take him out, but he had a spider in his mouth. He earned bro points from me.
slatz_grobnik
In my current house, we have House Centipedes. They're disgusting. My ex-wife and I rented a place about 5 years ago that had a mouse problem. Every winter we'd go through like 12 mice. There were at least 2 bat incidents as well (the first of which happened at like 3 am and I freaked out and ran to my bedroom with the TV and lights on and everything.) We never found the bat. Then we found a dead bird in the basement and a rat jumped out of the drop ceilings in the basement two feet in front of me. We moved immediately. Funny thing was the place was actually pretty nice, it was just old so all these animals managed to sneak inside somehow. So, one night, I was at a Brew n' View showing of "Them!" hosted by the Field Museum's entomology department, and as people were hanging out and drinking afterwards, my SO at the time brought up the aforementioned bug - I don't remember the context, we'd all had a few - and one of the department directors launched into something approaching a tirade about how people should be thankful to have them around, because they were top predators for their class of insect and killed off a lot of stuff that posed potential health risks, whereas they didn't. Little Pirate
The ladybugs you guys are referring to aren't ladybugs. They're actually beetles that bite. Ladybugs are usually vivid red and they don't swarm. You can kind of tell that the asian lady beetle has a longer head and the separation of its wings are more visible. They're an uglier color and have more spots to them, usually. This was a major infestation a couple years ago in my neighborhood but they died out after last year's horrible winter.
