Faiblesse Des Sens
No. Fuck this. Keep them original instead of just being lazy and uncreative and using another universe. Have a third party use their tech or something.
Strangelove
There's an audio log in the game that talks about 2 other powers we didnt see/get in the game - wire and glass. http://conduitrightsleague.com has a few more too - tar, paper, and wood. I feel those could be pretty awesome. Edited March 23, 2014 by Strangelove
deanb
One of those in the second spoiler one is a conduit power in the first game. @FDS: I don't see you being this against the Lego and similar licensed games. Not a fan of Avatar? I mainly posted it for Ethan who I knew would get a kick out of the idea.
TheMightyEthan
I wish that once you got the neon powers your tags would be awesome neon tags like Fetch's, rather than just spray paint.

Mister Jack
Drain it from downed D.U.P. soldiers
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, thanks, I figured that out after I posted. Going by how the other powers work I feel like I should be able to just pull it out of the road or whatever.

I view The Stick of Truth as a way to pay the bills at Obsidian so I'm okay with that in this sense but Sucker Punch doesn't have as much going on at once as Obsidian. Thursday Next
I am loving this game. Soooooo much fun. Such a power trip. Can't wait to get home and play some more.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, it's fantastic. Reviewers nailed it when they said it was like Infamous but better in every way.
Strangelove
I think the big difference between the last 2 games and this one is that Delsin is as powerful as Cole was in the end of i2 in the first hour. And from there it just gets better and better.
TheMightyEthan
I think there's more to it than that, this game just feels better put together overall. I agree that they do a better job in this game of making you feel crazy powerful without making you feel overpowered though, and that does contribute, I just don't think it's the biggest thing. Why I came here: I started a new game on Expert, to play evil this time, and so far it doesn't actually seem any harder. I'm not sure how much of that is me being better at the game than I was when I first started and how much is just that there's not much difference between difficulty levels. Strangelove
The only difference when you change the difficulty is the damage you and your enemies take. Youll notice it once you go up against one of the heavily armored enemies. Or a guy with a rail gun. But its really not that much more difficult, it just takes more time. Honestly, I hardly ever used by karma bomb in my normal playthrough, but on expert its come in handy just so I dont spend so much time chipping away on dudes. On another note - I had been abusing the slowmo power you get when you use neon, but when youre evil you dont get that. So yeah. Its been a bit tougher than usual. That power was great. TheMightyEthan
You don't get the slowmo? NOOOOO!
Strangelove
Nope. its a good karma ability. And theres no evil substitute for it either. Also, when I was doing good karma, shooting people on the legs instead of on the head gave me health and good karma, is there an equivalent for health when youre evil? Im doing headshots, but Im not getting anything. Also, Im guessing enemies not showing up on your map is an expert difficulty thing? Because they dont. Thursday Next
SloNooooooooooo! My first playthrough is evil. Sounds like I chose wisely for an expert/good run. But yeah, all my gripes from the first one, especially re: finding shards are fixed. I like the way the upgrade tree works. It would have been nice if the other jacket designs reflected your karma the way the main jacket does, but that's just window dressing. My only other gripe is that I would like to be able to switch powers on the fly. I like traversing with Neon but going vertical with smoke is much easier. It would be great if you could neon to a vent, smoke dash through it etc etc without having to stop and drain all the time.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I totally agree re: switching powers, I wanna be like the fucking Avatar.
Mister Jack
They probably just did it for balance reasons, seeing that three of the d-pad buttons go almost completely unused.
Thursday Next
Exactly, I was hoping that tapping left/right on the d-pad would allow me to hot swap powers. Alas no. Video is quite a great power for traversal, I find it a bit weak in combat though. Smoke is my go-to for close range, Neon for long range. Not sure where video sits really. Mister Jack
I know it's just a gimmick, but I love the graffiti art in this game. I even like how it makes you hold the controller like a can of spray paint. I think it's clever.
Strangelove
So everyone seems to be picking this game apart, at least on the innernet. Mostly over the length and that its not GTA big and varied. That stuff doesnt bother me. There's only really one thing that stood out to me that I thought was lame, and those were the comic book cutscenes for Fetch and Eugene. I liked the look, but I hated the stories. basically "drugs are bad and nerds get picked on mkay." Their backstories were so tropey. Like something D.A.R.E. wrote. I just didnt expect that because the writing for the rest of the game is pretty solid and those characters are actually pretty interesting. if anything, the game needed more interaction with those characters. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, it's kinda short for an open world game, but I felt like I got a full game out of it so whatever. I would have liked there to be sidequests (beyond the more environmental/collectible type things) but meh.
