TheMightyEthan
To be honest though, they could work it so that you can pick whether Cole was good or bad, and just throw in another ray-sphere activation to bring back Supers. That fucks the canon though! If the supers were wiped out it was supposed to kill not just the activated ones, but all the people who even carried the gene, meaning another ray sphere wouldn't do anything. Think of the canon! /nerd
Mister Jack
Won't someone PLEASE think of the canon!?

deanb
Isn't it based in the UK anyway? I kinda figured from that he wasn't related to Cole directly or distantly. Just a different Conduit.
TheMightyEthan
It's set in Seattle.
UnstableArk
Seattle, London. Same thing, right?
deanb
Why the fuck did he start talking about UK then?
TheMightyEthan
idk, I must have missed that part of the presentation.
deanb
A minor brain refresher.
TheMightyEthan
Oh right. He also talked about stuff in the US though. I think they were just talking about police-state-type stuff in general.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I can't remember, did the UK really did get mentioned? He mentions being pepper sprayed in 1999. In 1999 were the WTO riots in Seattle. Sucker Punch is based out of Bellevue, which is right across the water from Seattle, so this guy is local... so no idea what's up with a UK mention. Hot Heart
He mentioned Britain in part of a series of statistics (number of security cameras). Nothing to suggest it was solely about Britain.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Oh yeah, now I can remember. 1 camera for every 13 people or something.
deanb
Worth noting a sketchy feed for a fair chunk of the viewing so stuff might slip through the cracks if he specifically mentioned Seattle. Might grab the feed in full and re-watch some point this weekend.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Well they don't use real cities but just base the games off them so Seattle is never directly mentioned but the wide shot of the city is pretty obviously Seattle. Source: I fucking live in Seattle.
Luftwaffles
\\ I'd even go so far as to say it's directly mentioned.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Haha. I'm guessing they rushed to put that out considering that's not what the space needle looks like in game. Definitely a Chronicle vibe to that pic.
RockyRan
Highlight of the presentation for me, considering both inFamous games are the highlight of the PS3 for me. GIMME GIMME GIMME
TheMightyEthan
According to that Joystiq article I posted it really is set in the real Seattle, which they specifically mentioned as being a change from the fictional cities of previous games. CorgiShinobi
Kinda funny, and to be honest the "78% Good" trophy stat might not mean much when you consider a lot of people got the trophy for Bad as well. I mean, I most certainly did. I guess it means a little something if people, in their first and only choice, chose Good, then you might have a decently higher percentage over how many witnessed Bad. I did say it was funny though because it nerfs the ultimate choice at the end of Infamous 2. Oops, the RFI didn't quite do its job! However, all is forgiven if Cole makes a cameo. If we're going with an established imperfection, then we must have an imperfect sacrifice.
TCP
Clearly this is just because they're planning a sequel to the "bad" ending for Vita.
