Just finished Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction. Only started playing two days ago. A Crack in Time is next.

Crack in Time is way better then Tools of Destruction. Just way better. Plus Ratchet's face actually has different emotions in cutscenes!

Is Tools of Destruction the one you lent me before? I didn't like that at all. it was just way too basic for my liking, no challenge in it.

I played the full version of Tools a bit and didn't like it that much. I loved the demo of Crack in Time but never got the chance to play the whole thing. Glad to hear that I was right with just my limited playthough of both (i've played every single other console ratchet I'm pretty sure, tools just felt so meh in comparison to the PS2 titles.)

Pretty much. Tools of Destruction feels a bit like a step back from the PS2 series so they could get it out quick for PS3. Crack in Time feels a lot more imaginative and just better all round. Cutscenes in CIT are nearly of a pixar level quality. Its funny there hasn't been as much outcry about Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One changing the formula entirely.

F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn DLC

I played through F.E.A.R. 2 back in november and thought it was decent, but even though I'm a fan of DLC that extends the single-player experience ( as opposed to map packs for multi ), I didn't feel like paying 10 bucks for it.

Anyway, I grabbed it on the cheap during the holidays sale on Steam and kinda forgot about it until yesterday. With F.E.A.R. 3 coming out in a few weeks, I figured it was time to play it. So before going to bed last night I reinstalled F.E.A.R. 2 on Steam with the intent of playing Reborn.

I enjoyed it (and found it did some things better than the full game did) but holy shit am I glad I didn't pay 10 bucks for it! I would've been seriously pissed off. I started playing literally like an hour ago. I completed the thing in a single sitting and not even a long one at that.

Also:

So yeah, any recommended games from that list?

Psychonauts (this first), Deathspank (both), Lost Planet, Magicka (tho you should do this coop), Republic Commando, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Assassins Creed 2, Infamous Evil, Enslaved

Do these first, they're all relatively short, so it should go fast.

So far my pace has averaged one game a month. I beat Dead Space in January, Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect (for the second time) in February, and I beat Mass Effect 2 two days ago.

Since the new year, I've purchased 13 games, one of which are listed above. Sometimes I wish the gaming industry would just take a break for a year.

Chaos Rising.

Was a bit shorter and linear than I would of liked. DOW II had a fair few kind of randomly generated missions to kind of tide over stuff, but Chaos Rising was mission after mission. Very linear. Which had the downside of not really letting me average out the levels of my squad like in the main campaign. Also the final battle was a bit messed up. I'd of wanted another "all in" type of affair, even kitted out everyone for the occasion, but it never happened.

I think it lasted about 4-6 hours (I had a fair bit of idling so Raptr is a bit useless to measure)

I assume the ending sets you up for Retribution. Not sure I want to buy it asap. Gonna do some skirmish maps n then a bit of a foray into MP.

Homefront.

Finished it just now.

Wasn't anything exceptional, but it was nowhere near as bad as reviews made it out to be, either.

If you still play the yearly COD releases, then you should definitely enjoy it. I know I had some fun with it.

That being said, it's insanely short (when I started playing about 2 hours ago, I was literally halfway through the game) and the "ending' is just fucking terrible.

The final level itself was actually pretty cool overall, but it just ends too abruptly. I wouldn't even call it an ending, and if that was supposed to be a cliffhanger, they really didn't pull it off.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

It was a pretty solid fighter in itself, better than the Ultimate Ninja series in my opinion. It had some extremely powerful moments most fighters couldn't hope to pull off, and lot's of fanservice for fans of the series. A very nice singleplayer and multiplayer component makes this game one not to gloss over, especially if you are any sort of fan of the series.

BulletStorm.

I was about halfway through the campaign when I stopped playing a little over a month ago.

Finished the second half in 4 hours sitting just now.

It was a very enjoyable game. I loved how the gameplay forced you to kill somewhat creatively.

And some of the lines in the game were just mind-blowing by how retarded they were

Most creative use of profanity I've seen in a long, long time.

Hmm... just finished Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel. Before that: Hyperdimension Neptunia, Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale and Borderlands.

There are a number of titles I started but simply did not feel compelled to finish. No captivation there, and captivation is requisite in these creatures. Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, Super Meat Boy and a couple others, I'm sure.

Nope.

Also by very end we mean the death of your original PC yeah? Cos I'm still unsure on whether the game has ended or has a weird way of letting you finish side quests...

The last hour or two of the game is pretty sucky. It should have ended at the death of dutch and that bit after, then roll the credits. Not re-introduce you to the sucky mini-games you had to fight through at the start of the game.

If GTAIV had ended the same way RDR ended you'd spend 2 hours bowling with Roman. Thankfully it ended with a car chase across the city and hijacking a helicopter.
