deanb
He's using the English/cockney VA. I kinda went with a "English Joker" kinda look. Didn't iam for it but it kinda evolved early on. And spraying shit over buildings seemed to fit it too
TheMightyEthan
Shadow of the Colossus. I know technically we're only supposed to count games we haven't beat before, but since this is the PS3 version I figured I'd add it anyway... BrainHurtBoy...2
El Shaddai. So I'm going to talk about it. The game was good. Damn good. But many people are saying that this is one of the games we should show to skeptics to prove games are art. I'm not sure I agree. Don't get me wrong, I think all games are art, but El Shaddai didn't feel as much like an art game as a game with art in it. El Shaddai had beautiful backgrounds, characters and music, but what it ultimately lacked was any of the aspects of games that make them a unique medium to work with. That is to say, I believe El Shaddai could have been a more meaningful piece of art as a television series or a film. Games like Metroid Prime offer a sense of atmosphere and immersion through interactivity in a manner no other medium can replicate, but in El Shaddai the marvelous vistas and beautiful corridors you move down feel less immersive and more detached, like I'm looking at a painting in a gallery. My point is, games like Metroid Prime and Heavy Rain are not only great pieces of art, but are pieces of art which would not be as meaningful or satisfying in another medium. El Shaddai is a great piece of art, but while playing it, I felt more like I was moving through a lovely painting than playing a game. Â Inside your head you have a memory implant used for smuggling data, that you never asked for, and want to have it removed. So you accept One Last Job to carry some data for someone in order to afford the operation. But then the Yakuza and a pharmaceutical company are after it. Â Turns out the data is about curing a plague that has been affecting mankind and the pharmaceutical company wanted control of it. In the end you succeed in getting the cure out and removing the memory augmentation, thus gaining access to long lost childhood memories. Â Also, you need gloves and a VR headset in order to use the internet.

Strangelove
Its awesome. Its by far the "funnest" of the old RE games. It has the tank controls and ribbons for saving and all that crap, but you get a lot of ammo and healing items throughout the game. Tons of ribbons too. Youll have a lot of items left over. Its also long as hell. It took me about 13 hours, though a lot of it is spent getting lost, its easily an 8 or 9 hour game to someone playing for the first time. Â As for the story and plot and stuff, its kind of a self contained story(although it pretty much explains why Chris is so buff in RE5), its one of the most interesting of the RE games. It also has the most batshit insane villain in the whole series. Edited October 3, 2011 by Strangelove

It's also important to only be able to get that data out of your brain using pictures of looney tunes.
toxicitizen
Resident Evil 4. Â I first beat it years ago on the gamecube, but it's been so long that I'm counting it anyway. Â Still have that Separate Ways Ada side-mission thing to beat, though. That wasn't in the version I played before. Â Oh and replaying this really made it that much clearer that RE5 was completely devoid of any creativity. Â And don't get me wrong, I actually liked RE5. I wasn't one of the haters. But it's like RE5 spent too much energy trying to recreate the big set pieces of RE4 without ever trying to be its own thing. Â I mean, RE4 truly feels like a Resident Evil game : monsters that grow eyes where there shouldn't be any, crazy transformations that result in large creepy arms with claws, etc... Even stuff like the door of a room automatically locking right after a boss drops right in front of you. That's a classic Resident Evil moment. Â None of that was really present in RE5. And then there's the fact that pretty much every boss fight in it was against the same shapeless, blob-like mass of black crap... Thursday Next
Just beat Ico again... Man what a game. So beautiful. My heart still skips a beat every time Yorda jumps and Ico catches her.
TheMightyEthan
I've decided I'm gonna start putting pictures in here, like the purchase thread, to make it more interesting to look at. Â On that note, I have this to add: Â Though I wouldn't exactly call it hard, I will say that it fixed the problem SMG1 had of just being way too easy. Â It's obvious to me from playing this, however, that Nintendo has lost their way. I mean what kind of a world are we living in where people can make a game in which you have to hit a boss 4 times to kill it?! Bosses are supposed to precisely 3 hits! No more, no less. Anything else is a crime against nature.
toxicitizen
Ico. Â Wow. Just... wow. Â I already mentioned how it was much better than I expected it to be, but now that it's over, what an amazing game. It's even more mind-boggling when you realize that it's nothing more than a 5 hours escort mission. I'm really glad I decided to play it first instead of jumping straight into Shadow of the Colossus. Â The only complaint I have is that it can get a bit annoying waiting around because of how slow Yorda is when you need her to climb ladders. toxicitizen
Well I'm kind of on a roll. Just beat Limbo. Which is probably for the best seeing as I'll very likely be getting my copy of Dark Souls tomorrow, and I don't think I'll be playing anything else until Arkham City. Â Anyway, I don't know if there was 15$ worth of content in it, but I loved the hell out of it. Now to wait a year until (fingers crossed) Bastion also makes the jump to PSN. Faiblesse Des Sens
Bastion is on PC so I don't think it's under the 1 year exclusivity agreement that some indie developers get into.
toxicitizen
You got a point there... Not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign, though. If it's not timed exclusivity, then I can't help but wonder what the holdup is. Might be they're just not planning a PSN release
