Battra92
Ooooh, that is nice. I didn't like the game much, but I like that. See I thought the game was awesome. VJ2 was a phoned in sequel but still fun as well.

SkyGriever
So all this box art talk had me wondering if there was any substantial changes made when an American-made game was released in Japan. Most of what I checked was unchanged (for example: Fallout 3 and Batman: Arkham Asylum.) But when I typed in Mass Effect Japanese box art, I got this: which is fucking awesome imo. I've never seen this image before today and it's now my fav Mass Effect cover ever. That Mass Effect cover is awesome.
Commander Shepard
the latest sequel of Super Idol Magical Girl Pedo Club Also, Megaman 9's "Boxart" was amazing.
Pirandello
Super Idol Magical Girl Pedo Club Seriously, though, the game is about being a manager for pop idols. Despite what most non-informed people may think (see said quote), the game itself isn't bad (and the characters actually have personalities worth a damn). That said, I want it translated. So bad. Animu gurlz r kewt. ANYWAYS. Awww, yeah. You know you love it.

TheMightyEthan
Ordinarily I'd say it's pretty bad, but it definitely fits with the retro-scifi feel of that game.
jimmuhpage
Couldn't find a good image online and my phone's camera sucks, but here's the tin cover for Mass Effect's limited edition:
Yantelope
so, tell me again, why the need for two completely different boxes? Is one of those so different that it's really going to impact sales in a different reigon?
jimmuhpage
Notice how the spine keeps the logo in the US version, but goes all Helvetica on the EU one. Are other games like that in Europe?

slithy toves
i prefer the 360 cover but we all know if they give this a US release the two covers will change and be worse regardless.
TheMightyEthan
I like the pose and everything of the one on the left, but I like girl on the right better, so I'm torn. i prefer the 360 cover but we all know if they give this a US release the two covers will change and be worse regardless. So true. That's actually a good reason to import right there...
TheMightyEthan
I think I like the PS3 one better, which is sad because I'll probably get the 360 one. Unless there's no NA release, then I'll import the PS3 one cause the PS3 isn't region locked.
deanb
Notice how the spine keeps the logo in the US version, but goes all Helvetica on the EU one. Are other games like that in Europe? Just a quick glance but Mirrors Edge, Bioshock (though it's in a slipcase), RDR, Demon Souls (US import), GTAIV, and to a degree force unleashed (The Star Wars logo is it's own thing, rest is helvetica) are the only ones I've got that have a logo on the spine. Rest are all helvetica.
Battra92
i prefer the 360 cover but we all know if they give this a US release the two covers will change and be worse regardless. Probably. The 360 cover art is nicer because I dig glasses on females. But there's sheep on both covers ... WTH... you're right1! I am officially blind... Maybe you can borrow that woman's glasses? TheMightyEthan
I just checked my shelf, and the only games that don't have a logo on the spine are published by Nintendo.
staySICK
I can't decide which I prefer ... Totes prefer the 360 version, which is sad because I'm getting it for PS3* *pending NA release / importability by English speakers
