That's badass that your overall bar unlocks both Paragon *and* Renegade options, rather than each score unlocking options separately. It will make my "do whatever the hell I feel like" schizo-shep more effective in conversations.

It also seems slightly unrealistic, though. Like why would someone believe that a Shepard with a bar maxed out with Paragon points would carry out his threat to burn down an orphanage to stop them? Seems like the option should be there, but depending on your rep they should be like "Hah! You're way too much of a goodie-two-shoes to do that!"

I'm sorry but I gotta agree to an extent, and I'm a supporter of gay marriage. Shepard is only a blank slate to an extent, but it doesn't work with this. It worked with the generic character in DAO and Hawke in DA2 because the characters were never established as something beforehand.

But Shepard has gone for 2 games showing no interest whatsoever in men. Sure you had the option to not fuck any of the women in the games, but he still had heterocentric answers/responses/dialogue options. He had PLENTY of chances to flirt with any of the male characters back then.

But Mass Effect 3 is the most accessible in the series and great for those just getting into the Mass Effect universe, remember?

Ugh.

He's a fucking military man that kicks ass, and then we see this (insert your favourite offensive slur).

You realize there are gay guys in the military, right? And that they kick equal amounts of ass as the straight ones?

After that I expect to hear that women are competent in battle.

Someone can't realize they're gay part way into life?

It's not that they can't realize it. And I'm sure plenty of gay men went around fucking women up to their 30's-40's and all of a sudden realized they're gay.

But Shepard hasn't shown any kind of self-thought or struggle with sexuality. He's always been this hetero man, he's literally not shown any kind of desire for a fulfilling relationship or glanced at a man in a way intended as anything other than a man being friendly or professional.

Plus this is Bioware. If one think they meant it as this deep psychological shit, then that's just cute. They wanted to shoe-horn this just like the supposed accessibility of ME3. Nothing else, nothing more. Their new mentality is to make money. I can't blame them, they're running a business. But I can't agree with this.

They certainly can be, though I'll concede it wouldn't surprise me if on average they are less suited to it than men. Problem is that to my knowledge no one has ever done any research into it.

See, that's a perfectly valid point. Why couldn't you just have said that instead of acting like a prejudiced jerk?

As awesome as the trailer music was, I wonder why they didn't have Clint Mansell compose something or use something that's already in use for the game. We all know he can make amazing trailer music.

EDIT: In fact, I wonder how long until someone edits Lux Aeterna into the video on youtube.

It's kind of hypnotic to switch back and forth between the first and 3rd ones, watching Shep change shape...

I just think it's not "politically correct" to openly discuss such topics in the US and especially conduct such research. If "snowman" is already a sexist word... you know. That's probably why you haven't heard about such research.

I like to antagonize people, I guess.

Also, it's the internet, don't take anything seriously.
