Now, I'm only six hours in to the game, but FYI unless there's more to this From Ashes DLC that I haven't seen yet I would definitely say you can totally skip it.

*Edit* - If you don't have the Collector's Edition that is. If you have the code to download it then it's worth inputting it, it's just not worth the $10 to buy it separately.

*Edit 2* - The gun you get is pretty badass, though.

I agree, but since they've said you can still get the best ending without playing multiplayer I'm assuming you only have to get that bar halfway full, since it's impossible to get it more than halfway full without multiplayer.

*Edit* - EXTREMELY minor spoiler from early mission:

It's hard to see but that Turian ship is firing on that Reaper, but it's facing the wrong way. JESE BIOWARE!

Really? Because from what I've been hearing halfway full won't get you the best ending, sort of like how everyone wouldn't survive in ME2 if one of you didn't have a loyal specialist for the suicide mission.

I had to buy my collector armor from a shop. Not cool.

Then once I bought it I realized that the armor I had was way better. Dammit. I guess I gotta wear it for aesthetics only.

I really wish I could remove the goddamn helmet during convos though. I also wish there was a way to upgrade the dlc costumes. You dont have to add different parts or make it customizable, but at least be able to collect some random item to upgrade just the dlc costumes.

Her face was kind of a big build-up for the series. For Bioware to just cruddily photoshop some stock photo together kinda ruins it a bit*. Shows a lack of care in both their fandom and own story. I've a feeling Tali may have been the icing on the cake. The story of ME3 does play a bit fast n loose with the previous games lore. I guess in order to work around the multitudes of choices and outcomes they've ended up creating.

*It's not just Tali either. There's a ton of very visible short cuts everywhere around the game. Especially sprites all over the citadel. Apparently by Bioware logic if you can't physically walk to an area, you can't see it thus they shouldn't put actual models around. This is in a location with glass everywhere and wide open areas and vistas. I'll take some screenshots next time I'm in the game. Yes sprites are used in many games, but normally in locations really far away, or that you're going to pass by really fast. Not things a few yards away in a location where you stroll around taking in all the sights n sounds.

e.g not mine but one doing the rounds:

I don't think the Tali thing is that big a deal in and of itself, but it does kind of show a laziness that speaks poorly of the development process.

*Edit* - You can remove helmets from the options menu in the console version too, but I don't think it applies to DLC armors since they're not customizable.

Couldn't hold it off any longer, started the game and just got past the second main thing before they let you go to the citadel.

In fact I was JUST given the freedom to do as I want. So from here on out [by which I mean tomorrow once I come back from my lab] it is smooth mass effect sailing.

I beat Mass Effect 3. That ending is one of the hardest choices I've had to make, because regardless of which you pick, it means Shepard dies. You end up having to choose which is best for everyone else, and not just what you want.

It's a bit of a shame - I would've loved to have a 'true' happy ending, where we see Shepard settling down with whoever their love interest was, but I won't complain. I was still relatively satisfied with how it ended.

ME3 is a rental from me so even if I wanted to I can't touch the multiplayer [i'm assuming since it was asking me to input a code at the beginning].

Nice to know I can get it completely full without touching the multiplayer. Maritan how many hours have you played man haha. Didn't this thing just come out yesterday?
