c hoertjes
How is it hard making a playlist? Ctrl + N, then drag and drop. How does it get any easier?

STiger
Hey Sindo, Creative's Zen line of media players supports Korean characters. Just a heads up. Also, best audio quality from a PMP.
iLjaG
How is it hard making a playlist? Ctrl + N, then drag and drop. How does it get any easier? Â I always memorize keyboard shortcuts for every program I use. Â And by that I mean, if it's not Ctrl + Z/X/C/V for undo, copy, cut, and paste, it can go fuck itself. Heartless
What's so bad about iTunes? I love it. It's simplicity and UI is great, but it's bloated. Too much stupid crap (see: Ping, Genius, etc.), and it's too heavy for a media program. Â Also, Kanji touched on the messy sorting. It simplifies song sorting too much. c hoertjes
I like simple. I really don't care what genre a band is classified as, I know what it is.
iLjaG
Yes, but aren't you ever in the mood for a certain type of music? Like, "I want to listen to some classical tunes" or "I want something really hard" (TWSS)? When you have such a large music database, it's cumbersome to sort by song or by artist. You might, but a lot of people aren't like that, and without the option it's a pain in the balls.

I didn't even think about that. I figured most players will support Korean/Japanese characters.  On top of that, they're supported by Winamp. Make a playlist, "Send to [media player's name]", allow files to transfer, good to go. At least, that's what I do.

AcidCrownie
I have an iPhone. I love iTunes. Â Then again, I'm on a Macbook, so the bloat isn't as obvious/not really there at all. Â As far as a media player goes, though, you really can't beat any form of iPod. (Not a biased statement, I swear.)

Like... Seriously. Â And the Macbook was a Christmas gift. :-P Â Â EDIT: Oooooo, purple.

hatch
I have a zune 30 gb that I use fairly often tho I admit if I didn't have an mp3 player and I had to pick one it probably wouldn't be a zune
Battra92
I have an old 30GB iPod Video from 2006. Four years later it's still served me well and the original battery is still going strong. I have a feeling it will need replacing at some point, though. Â My sister and brother in Law both have Sansas and love them because they do what they want them to do (play music) Â I bought the woman of the house an 8GB iPod Touch for Christmas. Hopefully she likes it.
Yantelope
I borrowed a Zune HD from a friend for about a month. I loved the device and the software. It lets you get your music back out of your zune unlike iTunes. The only think I didn't like about the Zune HD was that there are almost no apps at all. Other than that it was great. If I had to buy a player today I'd probably go with the iPod touch simply because of all the apps it has for it and there's not really a great android alternative. Archos makes android players but apparently you can't use the normal android marketplace so screw that. Also, Creative labs customer service is truly terrible so I'd recommend staying away from them. iLjaG
If you want apps, get a smart phone. PMP/MP3 players are meant for playing music. Not games and checking Facebook and looking at your stock portfolio. Â @Battra: I bought a Sansa for my dad's birthday and he really enjoys it too. Nothing fancy, but the sound quality is good and it holds a lot of music.
Strangelove
I have an iPod Touch. Ive had it for about 2 years and it's awesome. deanb
Except Sindo already has the Android phone so I doubt that was an issue for him.
