Bouchart
Well I put in an email address, and I've changed that. If Gawker wasn't connected to anything, you should be fine, provided that you don't use the same username with the same password elsewhere. Mister Jack
I couldn't remember if I ever provided my email, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That's what I say.
c hoertjes
I don't know what the hell I'm doing with that table thingy.
Bouchart
Clown, I have instructions a few posts above.
Mister Jack
Go to the site Bouchart just linked. type your email address in lowercase letters into that first text field. Calculate it as MD5 and cut out the code it generates. Now go to the table. At the top click "show options". Filter by MD5, and paste your code into the text box in the far right. Then click apply. If anything comes up, uh oh spaghettios.
c hoertjes
Okay, if I got a blank screen, am I safe?
Bouchart
You should be, but I'd change those passwords around anyway. Who knows if this is even legit.

Mister Jack
Yeah, you should probably change it anyway. I just used it for peace of mind.
MetalCaveman
Even though I should be safe I just spent a good while changing passwords all over the place, I really should stop creating so many accounts everywhere
diedan
Oh good. My email didn't come up at all. I unfortunately/stupidly use diedan on a lot of accounts, and may or may not have been using the same password. What!? I like consistency! Nothing critical: twitter, tumblr and the like, but still...I changed the hell out of a ton of passwords anyway. Makes me feel better on the inside. ixa
I don't know, Dan The Man, imagine all the embarrassing tweets they could make under your username. it sounds pretty critical to me.
diedan
Yeah, my 12 followers would have been SOOOOO pissed! No, seriously, I have 12 followers...
ixa
you might have a small fanbase, but I bet they are a pretty hardcore one. with "@DIEDAN" tshirts and stuff.
diedan
Oh yes. They are INSANE! I can't get them to stop retweeting my brilliant 140 character epic poems. Just imagine if someone tweeted something not in iambic pentameter!? I would have wolves at the door. WOLVES! (All of my followers are wolves.) ixa
tbh, that's kind of frightening. 12 wolves following you all over. I didn't even know wolves liked poetry.
Mister Jack
I bet my fanbase can beat up your fanbase.
MetalCaveman
I don't know, Dan The Man, imagine all the embarrassing tweets they could make under your username. it sounds pretty critical to me. This confused me You know... My name is Daniel, people call me Dan, some friends from school used to call me that, yeah... Anyway, it's going to be a pain trying to remember all these new passwords and stuff.
diedan
You'd be surprised. Wolves love poetry! Especially the Norse Poetic Eddas. Next time you're surrounded by a pack of wolves, just start reciting the Sigurðarkviða hin skamma and they will howl with delight...and hopefully not gnaw you to death with their teeth. Little known fact!
ixa
some kid in my english class a couple of years ago was named Dan and sometimes I called him Dan The Man. which was only like a couple times because I never really talked to him anyway. Mister Jack
I notice that the poll didn't include an option for the "peasants" comment.

diedan
It's strange, and I'm suddenly getting all the email notifications that didn't go out throughout the day. I think Kotaku is haunted. Best steer clear until the ectoplasm is cleared out methinks.

That new layout for hash tags makes me angry. Only 5 of the most recent posts at a time with no way to browse through them? It honestly looks like Gawker is trying to shed itself of the commenters, all recent events considered.
