Showmeyomoves!
I hadn't read the full article yet before posting that, so it seemed like "just a pic with no context". Still, who cares what Gawker people say? The only reason I ever visited Kotaku was the commenters, and they're all here now. :bun-lalala: :bun-lalala: :bun-lalala: :bun-lalala:
Battra92
So I changed all my passwords (including those that were different from my Gawker password) Any idea if I did this for nothing? I didn't have an email address attached to my account.
Showmeyomoves!
Batty boy! Welcome. One of the first few pages of this thread has a link to a site where you can check if your account has been compromised. *edit* Oh wait, you said no e-mail address... In that case: I have no idea. Mister Jack
You know, in kind of a fucked up way the password leak is probably good for this forum's membership drive.
Minirova
I enjoy the fact that if this was ANYONE else they'd have 10 articles a day on it. Since it's them, there's definitely only one. It honestly kind of pisses me off that I can't delete my account. Seriously how fucking hard is it to make something that removes you from a database? That's absolutely ridiculous.
deanb
Yeah anyone doing a forum drive over on kotaku btw? Just spreading the word? (Crecente finally spotted my new account. I'm suspended )
Mister Jack
I'll give it a shot.

jayc4life
Because he gave them advice on how to improve their workmanship and they couldn't hack it that a student was telling them how to (rightfully) be better at their jobs. jimmuhpage
He pointed out things that could be improved and instead of improving the website, they unstarred him. Some time later, 5th of July, they posted "What is Kotaku?" An article entailing all of Kotakuness. Someone in the comments made a remark about Dean being unstarred being a stupid decision since he has contributed more to Kotaku than 85% of the other commenters put together. So a flood of people agreed with said commenter. So Crecente banned him. tl;dr: Crecente: They can't like you more than me if you're dead. Minirova
Someone should totes open up a class action lawsuit against them. I think i'd have to like throw a party.
CorgiShinobi
It would appear that someone was trying to get into my old email account. I typed in my password and it tells me I'm locked out because there were too many attempts to login. Needless to say, I'm glad I have multiple passwords. Even as a precaution I created a new set of passwords. I'm so deleting my Gawker Media account when it's available.
AcidCrownie
Plunkett says an option to delete accounts is incoming. Commenting on the Q&A article. I wonder if the number of accounts deleted will "wake them up".
Showmeyomoves!
I'll give it a shot. I would too, but I hardly ever visit the place. Next time I'm there, though...

Mister Jack
I think I managed to get at least two people from Kotaku. That's something, right?
Outkastprince
I was compromised as well. Someone went through my e-mails and sent spam to another person (is that a threesome?), not sure but seems like their flirting with me. I see things differently. CorgiShinobi
I'm wondering if my coworker was/is a Kotaku member. Lately I've received two emails from him that were spam. He's into video games, and even if Kotaku isn't perfect anymore, it's a well-known gaming blog.

ixa
I just...that is so stupid. other than that being so amazingly stupid...I'm kind of surprised that "cheese" was used by enough people to be so high in the standings. bravo, "cheese".
