Mercurial
Any fans of this game in here? Wasn't the best story or graphics, but hell all that freedom and gore was awesome. I haven't ever been able to get past Elizabeth Greene, but [PROTOTYPE] has to be one of my favorite games. Can't wait for the sequel and the fight with Alex better be goddamn epic. also boobs Edited January 12, 2011 by Hakidia
TheForgetfulBrain
Haha. Whyy is there a picture turning the protagonist of both Infamous and Prototype into a woman? I liked Prototype - I'm glad I waited to get it on PC. Runs beautifully. Dunno if I'll ever finish the game though. (Lazy)
Mercurial
Because Yahtzee had a contest for the studios who made inFamous and [PROTOTYPE] to make embarrassing pictures of the other studio's protagonist. Surprisingly both studios took up the challenge. Also he had it to decide which game was better, but in the end he still couldn't decide. Hot Heart
Haha. Whyy is there a picture turning the protagonist of both Infamous and Prototype into a woman? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/789-Prototype You have to skip right to the end for the reason why. I enjoyed the game but I never actually ran into any particularly difficult sections (on normal, mind).
TheForgetfulBrain
Ahh, it makes sense now. I feel justified - I remember the uncanny similarity between these games, as well as their release windows, and was always thinking... hrmm... Mercurial
Except you know fences and water aren't much trouble for Mercer.
Mister Jack
It's a good thing you never beat it because the twist at the end is completely retarded.
Mercurial
I usually know how a game ends before I ever play it.
TheMightyEthan
I liked Prototype a lot, and I didn't think the twist was stupid. Also, why do you always know the end of games before you play them?
Mercurial
Because it's what I do.
TheMightyEthan
So you seek out spoilers before playing the game? You must love the Super Spoilers thread then.
Mercurial
I actually do. I only seek out spoilers if I know I can't beat it in a day. Edited January 12, 2011 by Hakidia
Pirandello
I thought Prototype was a good game. However, in its case, it is very possible to run out of things to do. Unfortunately.
Mr. GOH!
I disliked Prototype. I could never tell what the fuck was going on except that it was ugly and strange. Playing it feels like taking some terrible drug that reduces my mental capacity and speeds up my perception of time while giving me hideous hallucinations. I think ugly and strange is part of the allure of the game. Coincidentally, it's also what the main character goes through. Remember that he's the incarnation of the virus that took the form of the person who used it on himself (to escape arrest by the military). So in a way, he's a guy but not really a guy. And not to mention that the military pretty much has him shoot-on-sight, and he has to deal with voices in his head telling him to make snack-time out of anyone standing near him. The whole game is pretty much one giant clusterball of weird.
Mercurial
He wasn't just a posing as someone he copied him on the genetic level. Also what voices? I am just nitpicking.

It's mentioned by Mercer himself that he hears voices in his head telling him to kill people. Or consume them. Either one. It's the virus part of himself that conflicts with his humanity. Mercurial
Fucking finally beat Greene. Had to use tanks which for some reason never worked for me before.
TheMightyEthan
I didn't find it confusing in the slightest.
Mr. GOH!
I didn't find it confusing in the slightest. Maybe I'm just too old for Prototype, but it just seemed like a lot of hard-to-control craziness with alternately ugly and bland art design.
TheMightyEthan
I will definitely grant you that the art was both bland and ugly, though I thought the visuals for the different powers were cool. But I was actually replying to Dean's post about having to look up wtf happened after he beat it.
Mercurial
I didn't find it confusing in the slightest. Never said it was confusing I am just saying I couldn't hijack tanks cause she would fucking throw rocks at me every 2 seconds.
