McBeeferton
Prototype was fun... except the further I went the story got worse. But the upside was that I got new toys to play with and never ran out of stuff to destroy. Nothing like elbow dropping a tank.
excel_excel
Got it for PS3 a while ago. After the awesome running up buildings and combat mechanics became repetitive it was done for. Short though so it didn't out stay its welcome. hated the story though
Enervation
The novelty of this game wears off fast, but it's a really nice take of running around, hacking and slashing. And throwing tanks.
excel_excel
Elbowing dropping a tank NEVER got old!

Cyber Rat
I had a few issues with Prototype: -The character acts like a good guy in the cutscenes, but you have eaten like half the town, what the hell? -There's this one NPC, I think a scientist, that you look for for like a third of the game, and then everyone forgets him; -So, there's this mechanic to consume people and take their identity, so you could infiltrate bases. But the bases have alarms. Cool, you'll disable them. But THEN you get flying alarms which are almost impossible to disable. Gee, thanks for killing a feature; -It god boring pretty fast. The only side missions I still enjoyed after playing them more than once were the bullseye missions.
Johnny
I would disagree about the flying alarms; I dealt with them fairly easily.
Cyber Rat
I might have just sucked at it then. I could rarely turn them off on time. But at that point I was so overpowered it didn't affect anything other than my desire to try and not slaughter EVERYTHING.
Enervation
It annoys me that your ability to sneak around in military bases is almost completely nerfed thanks to the sensors. I wanted to play spy at the end of the game, but then I see there's like 193403413 sensors in every single military base.

Cyber Rat
He admits near at the end that he's a monster. I've played it a long time ago, but I remember the way he acted in the cutscenes didn't really fit with what you did in the game.
Mercurial
Cause he had no idea who he was.
Cyber Rat
That isn't really relevant to how he acted between cutscenes compared to the actual cutscenes?
Mercurial
You didn't have to kill so many people.

Cyber Rat
You didn't have to kill so many people. I didn't realize there was a murder milestone before you walked past the moral event horizon. That teaser is nice. Shows the point of the game, so I hope they don't force feed the story.
