Akuam4n
After seeing this on Kotaku, I decided to download it and give it a whirl. It's pretty fun, anyone else here going to try it out? Seems pretty polished, has achievements and all. Healer ftw. http://www.bloodlinechampions.com/
TheForgetfulBrain
Yeah, I was looking at that, but I never played Dota and haven't been able to get into any of the games in this new sort of genre. Maybe if a ton of people here start playing I'll give it a shot.
Pointfourtyfour
After watching the trailer, it's not too much like DotA since there is no leveling or items to worry about, therefore it's easier to pick up and play. I'll try it out when I can and I'll post here.
Akuam4n
Yea, I have played DotA, this is much more friendly, and fun (IMO). You have to hit level 5 to be able to go into ranked matches solo anyway (you still get placed on a team, but solo as in with no friends / teammates). It is however like DotA that you have a small selection of "bloodlines" to choose from at one time. I already almost have 4k and you need 17k to buy one bloodline, unless you actually want to pay for it. If this is anything like what the arena will be in Diablo III, I'm sold already. docsfox
Tried it, don't like it. It doesn't help that new players are treated like shit in these kinds of games. Hell, all players seem to treat all players like shit in these games. DotA, HoN, Bloodline. You're expected to fill a pre-designated role that your character fits that isn't explained or taught to you and if you deviate from it at all you are bad and should just quit. That's my general experiance with these games.

Yea, I notice that no matter how "friendly" the community is tagged as in these types of games, ultimately it's an e-peen fest on how rigidly you can follow cookie-cutter strategies. I played LoL, and I enjoyed deviating from usual strategies by ganking from bushes. Once I started getting into higher ranked games, though, everyone started lambasting me for "doing stupid shit."
