Mr W Phallus
I converted and tagged from a high-quality .wav file I got from here -- http://www.mediafire.com/?mgme66s119nu5e5 And yeah, Youtube generally rapes audio on videos that only go up to 360p or 480p; if you ever want some help finding music just give me a shout, I've spent the better 8 years of my life being a music-hunter XD Next time I need some music, be prepared for me to completely abuse that generous offer.

Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
http://media.giantbomb.com/podcast/portal2spoilercast-042211.mp3 Do not, I repeat, DO NOT listen to this before you beat the game. That being said, this is a pretty interesting, candid talk about Portal 2's ins and outs between Giant Bomb and the staff at Valve.
Mr W Phallus
Had to turn off when they started talking about the coop, but it was really interesting up until then. I really wish they'd included the moon easter egg, complete with the fake song. Although having it at the ending instead was cool too. The way they talked about the elevators, and specifically clarified that the different design wasn't indicative of a large time period between Portal and Portal 2 sounds a bit like they are planning to expand more on the story/history of Aperture, which could mean more Portal 2 content, Portal 3 or Ep 3/Half Life 3. That's just me reading into it though, they seemed a little less specific on that than other stuff. CorgiShinobi
Got all the single player trophies. If anyone is interested in gaining a few, ask away. I still need to work on the co-op trophies, but those really aren't so bad. I will say, Chamber 6 gives you a lot of trophies, and Overclocker (Chamber 10 in under 70 seconds) is not that hard at all.

CorgiShinobi
In case no one has seen it yet, a nice secret in Chamber 16. Looking back, I can't believe I didn't think of taking out that turret with the laser.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I just beat the singleplayer. Probably as close as we can hope to get to the perfect game.
Connorrrr
Finished the single player, almost finished the multiplayer. Fucking awesome all the way through. Best game I've played in a very, very long time.

Looking back, I can't believe I didn't think of taking out that turret with the laser. I knew that turret had to be hiding a secret. The solution seems so simple now. MetalCaveman
Not much, a thank you page for the "perpetrators" of the ARG with the developers of the games included in the potato thing, and some music and stuff.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I put some of my favorite quotes from the game below, assembled from my memory and a few websites. Man, looking back this game was hilarious. Wheatley: I'm going to attempt a manual override on this wall. Cave Johnson: All these science spheres are made of asbestos by the way. Keeps out the rats. Let us know if you feel a shortness of breath, a persistant dry cough or your heart stopping. Because that's not part of the test. That's asbestos. Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 4.6 years, so if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of Canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punched those numbers into my calculator; it makes a happy face GLaDOS: That jumpsuit you're wearing looks stupid. That's not me talking, it's right here in your file. On other people it looks fine, but right here a scientist has noted that on you it looks "stupid". Well, what does a neck-bearded old engineer know about fashion? He probably— Oh, wait. It's a she. Still, what does she know? Oh wait, it says she has a medical degree. In fashion! From France! Cave Johnson: Now maybe you didn't have any tumors. Well, if you sat on a folding chair in the lobby and weren't wearing lead underpants, we took care of that too. Wheatley: Finally, a nemesis worthy of my vast intellect. Holmes vs. Moriarty. Aristotle vs. MASHY SPIKY PLATE! Voice: Warning! Neurotoxin pressure has reached dangerously unlethal levels.

TheMightyEthan
So Portal 2 DLC is supposedly coming this summer. Translated from Valvespeak to English that yields us an actual release date of some time in 2015.
HotChops
so I know I'm late to the party, but I just got my copy via Gamefly. Am I mistaken, or is this game way better looking than previous Valve titles? Source was the shiznit back in 2004, but ever since I've found it pretty tame. But I've been frequently impressed by Portal 2's graphics. How were they able to make them so much better?
TheMightyEthan
Am I mistaken, or is this game way better looking than previous Valve titles? It's not just you, it looks WAY better. And if you got it through Gamefly that means you're not even on PC with antialiasing and stuff, where it's seriously the first game I've seen that is capable of looking as good as the pre-rendered-but-in-engine video they often use for "gameplay" trailers. As for how they made it look so much better, I'm not sure. I know Left 4 Dead 2 looks a whole hell of a lot better than L4D1 did though, so I think they've been continuing to tweak the Source engine. P4: Gritty Reboot
The Source engine was designed from the ground up to be modular, meaning they can replace individual elements as they begin to age. Compare early 2003 HL2 screenshots to Portal 2 and you'll see what I mean. That being said, I think we'll see a major overhaul before HL3. (So pre-2016) Edit: Comparison below. I'd also like to add that Source engine games tend to be understated, going for muted colors and higher-res textures rather than overdoing effects like bloom and lens flares, etc. Portal 2, 2011 Half-Life 2, 2003 shot (I believe) Edited April 29, 2011 by p4warrior

But I've been frequently impressed by Portal 2's graphics. How were they able to make them so much better? That's cos HL2 was made with the Source Engine. Portal 2 was made with the Source 2011 Engine. TF2 with the Source 2007 engine. And so on and so on. (most notable non-game update was Source 2010, released alongside Steam 2010. Added Mac OSX compatibility for both) They all get the updates(you ever noticed how once you have one Source engine game, the rest all seem to start their download at about 40% complete?), just it'll improve minor things like speed n such on older titles, whereas with titles actually made with the new engine in mind they can add things like the improved lighting, particle effects, and primarily in Portal 2's case, fluid simulation.
