Anyone getting the Redux versions? I want to since Ive never played them, but people are sort of "eh" on these games. Im assuing theyre good, but not great.

This person is actually very high on Metro. If you can get over the (first games mainly) hang-ups, they're fantastically atmospheric FPS.

I played a few hours of 2033 and I really like it, but it's not perfect. It does a lot of weird shit that Im not sure is deliberate.

Sometimes the walking and running speed goes all weird. I understand that that changes when Im in a populated place. You cant jump or run fast around people and you slow down, but sometimes during combat my walking speed slows to a crawl same as my running speed. It just randomly does it. And its not because my character gets tired since Im just fucking walking.

Saddest of all, the shotgun feels like absolute shit. It feels like im shooting the smallest lightest gun ever made. Its just flimsy and has no impact. Im also not sure how damage works. Sometimes Ill unload an entire clip or 3 bullets to take down the same monster and Im not really doing anything different.

And lastly, the game doesnt tell you A LOT. Lots of unexplained stuff that seems to be somewhat important.

Other than that, im enjoying it. Feels like Fallout as far as atmosphere goes.

After playing for a while... I had to turn the difficulty down, something about the controls, specially aiming and stealth takedowns feels super sluggish and unresponsive, making most fights quite frustrating, don't know if this is on purpose or if it's an issue that'll get fixed eventually, for now though, I'm switching to easy. :P

Never had an issue with the previous games, even with the original Metro 2033, but this time it's too much. :P

Tried a fix I saw online (switching sensitivity presets, tweaking autoaim settings and increasing aim and look sensitivity), though it improved a ton from before, there's still some issues, mind you this is on PS4, don't know how other platforms are doing. :P The best solution I've found is to just rush the enemy with a shotgun as you don't have to worry about precision aiming or stealth takedowns not working with that thing. :P

Didn't expect to arrive at THAT place so early in the game, so, before I start that chapter I'm leaving a prediction here, will come back to check it after completing the chapter/area:

Spoiler

Yamantau is a trap, there are no government people there, only bandits using the Ark transmissions and the promise of all those supplies and stuff as a way to lure people in. Once we get there, they will try to kill everyone or sell them as slaves, that, or the remains of the government have turned to bandits. :P
