Mister Jack
So who else loves this brutally hard platformer? I gotta tell you, that pet Meat Boy is perhaps the only Xbox avatar item I ever felt obliged to show off to my friends just for the sheer amount of effort it took me to get it (I didn't even know I would get it at the time). I'm taking a hiatus from it for a bit, as this game turns my fingers into old person fingers after just a few minutes, but before too long I plan on going back to tackle the Dark World. Mister Jack
Which version did you get?
ixa
I'm playing the 360 demo right now. it's pretty awesome if I say so myself. definitely going to buy it when I can.
Mister Jack
I'm curious about how the headcrab on the steam version plays. All the characters have some kind of special ability. Except Tofu Boy. But Tofu Boy sucks.
Sindo
Bought through Steam. Wouldn't run for me for the longest time.
Mister Jack
Why not? It doesn't seem like it's very demanding.

Chewblaha
It's so hard to get bandages! I need to go back and get my A+'s to start my Dark World conquering.
Mister Jack
*cough* Is there a Mac version? Not yet, but Wii and Mac versions are forthcoming.
Mister Jack
Apparently the headcrab plays the same as Gish. That's a bit of a letdown.

Mister Jack
This explains why he goes to all this trouble.
deanb
Why not? It doesn't seem like it's very demanding. The PC version launched with a variety of issues. I think one of the main ones was to do with a really shitty frame rate. Basically yeah it shouldn't of had issues, but for some reason Team Meat launched it with issues. They were fixed in a few days so I guess no harm, no foul but still.
Mister Jack
I hope all those PC people have gamepads. Trying to play it on a keyboard is like Sisyphus trying to roll a boulder up a hill.

rainetemplar
Figures. I'll have to get it off Steam. I've heard nothing but praise
Mister Jack
Yeah, maybe it's because the architecture is so different. Sorry bro.
ixa
4 more bandages I need to find and I'll have finished ch.1 100%. not sure which stages they're in though. I'm really glad I got this, it's so much fun. rage-inducing fun. also the glitch level in ch.1 is pretty frustrating.
Mister Jack
I would have more bandages if I could even find the damn things. I haven't looked any of them up.
Commander Shepard
So in trying to 100% everything: Forest: Not too bad, a fun challenge to get used to everything, especially Dark World, and the first glitch world is rage inducing to prepare you for many of the later levels, though in replaying to get all the bandages and A+, one of the levels paused and showed Meat Boy dressed as Reptile from Mortal Kombat, with a message saying "Look to la luna" which I know is an MK reference, needless to say, much freakout afterwards. Hospital: Challenge ramps up, still fun, many deaths in Dark World. Salt Factory: Dark World is rough, the boss battle was even more rough with some of the precision jumps. Hell: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- everything, especially unlocking Flywrench. Rapture: OH GOD MY THUMBS, OH GOD THE HOVER-LIGHT THINGS, OH GOD THE KID'S LEVEL The End: Very fitting, very rage inducing. Cotton Alley: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I still have ridiculous amounts of fun playing this, unlocking the extra characters, and farming for the Glitch zones to appear, then trying my damn best to clear them. Dark Hell and Cotton Alley are my current challenges to complete before moving on to Dark Rapture and Dark "The End". How goes it for everyone else? Mister Jack
I really need to get back to the dark world at some point. I just got too many other games distracting me.
