Apparently an Activison employee is suggesting to consider shutting down Black Ops PSN servers over on-going network connectivity and customer complaints. Said employee suggests allowing customers to return their copy for a sealed copy to return to stores, exchange the game for the same game on a different platform (PC/360), or allowing the customer to swap out the value of the game for a game of equal/lesser value on the PS3.

(Editted thread title since I forgot the spokesman/CS rep part for clarity, as Dean pointed out)

Just to point out what has been put up in a few places:

Customer Service rep =/= Activsion.

Though should Activsion actually be trying to leverage this action for the PS3 COD titles I would be in no doubt it's an attempt to strong arm Sony into making a similar deal that Activsion have struck up with MS for COD.

Though of course it's a bit of a gamble. The COD games are some of 360's best selling, but while they've done well on PS3 I have a feeling Sony wouldn't be too badly hurt should Activsion pull COD off PS3.
