  1. 1. Which one are you getting?

    • X (The "X" makes it sound cool.)
      3
    • Y (Is 1 better than "X".)
      4
    • Both (Gotta catch 'em all.)
      0
    • Neither (I hate fun.)
      1
    • Holding out for Z (Waiting makes it better.)

GOD, FUCK THAT GAME. It took me at least 50 something tries, the first time I won (not the first time I played) I got Leafeon, which I declined. Then after raging a lot more, I got Jolteon, which I was so close to settling for. Then I thought about which one I wanted, played about another 12 times, and got Glaceon.

That was a patience tester like no other. Damn them. How are kids even supposed to do that?! But thank you Excel for linking to it!

Oh, and question. How do you get your Pokemon? And can you check on your pokemon.com profile which one you got? I confirmed Glaceon and saved it and all, yet I can't find it on my profile, which worries me because of how much I suffered. How does my DS know which pokemon I got, or the site know my DS, or whatever the bloop needs the info?

Yes! I got Leafeon on my first try!

Well, my first success. Level 4 starts out tough, so I went through that thing, like, five times before I finally got to the end. I'm pretty sure it's based on how many orbs of the specific type you collect. The Gen IV evolutions only exist in Level 4, so I was making sure I got all the Leaf Orbs. B)

BLARGH!

Can anyone tell me what I can do before facing off against Trainers with Lv. 60+ Pokemon? I'm still at Lv. 52, but there is practically nothing to do in the cleared Unova region. Yeah, some things have changed, and I'll be able to battle Cheren and Atler since I've met them... So what else?!

I gave away my DS Phat to a friend, so I can't just cycle in older Pokemon. Speaking of which, I hate how in the earlier routes they still force the Gen V Pokemon on you. Unless there's an "outbreak," you're going to see the same freakin' Pokemon.

All I've caught so far:

Goldeen

Gligar

and Hippo-thisisallihavsofar?!

I did a significant re-tooling to my team - added Joltik and Boldore in place of Munna and Darumaka, since my psychic/fire slot is taken up better by Victini. Much more balanced now. I only need a good grass or poison type now in place of Foongus, whom I don't really like all that much. If that Global Link goes online soon enough maybe I can grab that Leafeon; otherwise I'll have to find someone in-game.

Team (all around level 33 except Samurott)

Samurott

Victini

Scraggy

Foongus

Joltik

Boldore

I worked my Lampent up to Lv. 61 for it to learn Pain Split. Immediately after that, I took a Dusk Stone and made a glorious Chandelure appear in the setting sun.

All its stats were raised except for the HP. :|

Oh, I also got a Watchog to have sexual relations with a Golduck I caught. Basically took the Patrat I caught in the beginning of the game, gave it Exp. Share. Fought a few high level Pokemon and it sky rocketed. There's a problem to that though...

For moves that Pokemon learn at the level of evolution, it seems that if you have them pass that level before the battle is over, they don't learn it. So what you'll have to do is go to the woman in Mistralton City who'll help Pokemon remember previous moves. Of course, at the cost of a Heart Scale.

I'm going to lay off for a while with Pokemon White.

I'm at the point in the game where even "common" Pokemon break out of Pokeballs. Like, on Route 13/14. Oh, and don't get me started on Thundurus! See, I don't like wasting Pokeballs, or at least a lot of Pokeballs. Last night I almost caught the jerk, but right before the clicking sound, the bastard popped out and ran away.

Now I'm beginning to realize that all the times I've faced him, I should have had Haxorus False Swipe him so that I could Quick Ball the thing when I meet it again at 1 HP.

I know I said I would lay off of Pokemon for a while, but I learned something very important.

SAMUROTT CAN LEARN MEGAHORN!

You know, the Bug-type move with Base Attack 120. The trick is to go to that woman in Mistralton City who will, for a Heart Scale, have your Pokemon learn previous "learned" moves. Supposedly Samurott has Megahorn as a Start move.

Lol, Grass-types beware!
