Thursday Next
I find the swearing in the game purile and unnecessary, but then I thought the same about Duke Nukem. Didn't stop me enjoying the over the top action and what not. On the subject of dialogue I can't wait for the soundboard prank using Bulletstorm dialogue. Oh, btw. Ridiculously foul language within...
deanb
I was a bit miffed to be told to download the Duty Calls thing, thinking "hey this might not be too bad" only to find out a minute after the 750MB download is done that someone had uploaded a video of the gameplay...all 4 minutes of it. WTH did they do to the game to make a 4 minute long game take up nearly 800MB. Also since I've seen the video there's no point really playing the game. what a fucking waste. VicariousShaner
Well, upon replaying the game until I got it all down, my Final score was 12,055. Hell yes.

staySICK
My best right now is about 11,700 and change. I don't like that that guy did the same routine 3x at the tenderizer area, but I did like the snapshot part. Gave me a few ideas.
Thursday Next
If Excel is allowed to link to the Daily Mail, I'm gonna link Fox! http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/02/08/bulletstorm-worst-game-kids/ "Carol Lieberman, a psychologist and book author, told FoxNews.com that sexual situations and acts in video games -- highlighted so well in Bulletstorm -- have led to real-world sexual violence." Apologies if this is elsewhere. I've been out of the loop recently.

Hot Heart
Sometimes I just want to go live in a cave. Sometimes is defined as whenever Fox News talks about videogames. Surely a cave is where you're most likely to run into Fox News itself.

Mister Jack
I keep getting conflicting data. Has Epic definitively said if the game has co-op or not? And by co-op I don't mean a survival horde mode.
deanb
It doesn't have campaign co-op. But it has "anarchy mode". Which seems to be some kind of Horde mode/get the most points type of deal. No idea if it's local.
Hot Heart
Are you local?
Mister Jack
Well that's lame. It would have been such a great co-op game. The lack if that actually kills almost all my interest. If anything, I'll wait for the inevitable game of the year edition that will be cheaper.
staySICK
Totes can't wait. It comes out my last week off work, so I'll have until the following Monday to play it. ...and my Mom is coming to stay with us that last weekend. oh joy

SomTervo
I keep getting conflicting data. Has Epic definitively said if the game has co-op or not? And by co-op I don't mean a survival horde mode. I'm positive it's got co-op on the "Echoes": the chopped-up bits of SP campaign that are mini-levels; the only thing featured in the demo. In the video at the end of the demo it showed this. And I'm pretty sure in the "Echoes" menu or whatever in the demo there was an option for it. So there's no co-op on the start-to-finish Singleplayer campaign, but there is on the individual levels. I'm so certain it said this in the demo and elsewhere. deanb
I already answered that co-op questions but to reinforce: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-18-why-bulletstorms-campaign-isnt-co-op There is no campaign co-op. And last time I answered there was only mention of it's non-campaign co-op which is Horde mode wave-style gameplay. You need to rack up a certain amount of points per wave though, not certain amount of kills.

That's fair enough, I saw your post but felt extremely inclined that you could do Echoes in co-op- mostly because I would be amazed that they showed it off in the end-of-demo trailer, but actually remove it right after. Which they did. So I'm amazed.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I don't think it's still in the game, but one of the early versions had a great MP map where you were at a nuclear weapon test facility. Every few minutes an alarm would sound and you had like 15 seconds to get to a bunker before it sealed shut. You'd be in the middle of a firefight then be scrambling to the nearest bunker only to find you were the only red guy in a room full of blues. Hilarity and explosive death ensued until the dust settled and the bunkers opened again and the survivors stepped out. Anyone caught outside died in a nuclear holocaust. Fun times. I know I'm way late on this, but you just described the old Crossfire map from Half-Life 1. Classic.
