VicariousShaner
Show your proudest comment you have ever wrote on Kotaku here. Mine would have to be the time I gained a star by insulting crecente.

Pirandello
I made a crack joke about Warren Spector, since there was an article talking about him wanting to make a Zelda game. It was a running joke from Deus Ex about sunglasses at night. *zing!* Starred!
RadiantViper
This is quickly becoming 'Post how you got starred' ... And I was starred in a fairly boring way (gave an in-game tip to Owen about Mafia 2). Don't really have any 'proud' comments. TheForgetfulBrain
I got a star randomly from Totilo, for trying to organize a Kotaku MWF2 match on the 360, during the book club for that game. Later, I got two comments of the week, one for rambling about WoW, and I can't remember what the other was for.
Mr. GOH!
I got a star from Totilo for writing a critique of MW2's transparent attempt to recreate what made the SP campaign in MW1 so interesting and how that attempt was both clumsy and a failure. My favorite comment is probably some snarky reply I made to another commenter.
Battra92
I got my star from Lifehacker ... I guess that doesn't count.
CorgiShinobi
I got my star, not for making a thought provoking and intelligent post, but a joke about Chris Redfield and his rock punching ability.
Thursday Next
I lost my star by linking someone who was kissing Crecente's arse to the Mirriam-Webster entry for "Sycophancy". Also this exchange: http://kotaku.com/comment/34511888 (No, I don't like Crecente, not one bit.)
Hot Heart
Once, I was featured on the front page (not those stupid new speak-up things!). Another time, Totilo twittered something I said. Wouldn't really say I'm proud, it's just...kinda cool?
deanb
http://kotaku.com/comment/24343073/ - I have a similar one to Thursdays. However the creme de la creme of comments is thusly: http://kotaku.com/comment/23847675/
SomTervo
My most proud comment was when, in an expectedly vague and info-light post about L.A. Noire from Kotaku, everyone in the comments seemed totally confused about what the game actually was, or was like- so I made a massive bullet pointed comment explaining everything known about the game and why it looks interesting. I got an immediate promotion from a Starry. About 12 people commented basically saying "thanks for all the info, you're great". And at least 4 or 5 of those twelve were Starry's, a couple saying "someone give this guy some notice". What do I get? No star. I actually go on Kotaku less these days because I feel I've contributed so much, even directly to editors, but still I get no star recognition or even acknowledgement- because I haven't managed to slip a good comment into a spot where an editor will see it and be in a good enough mood to Star me? Give me a break. I must have honestly been promoted about 200 times over 3 years or so. Does that count for nothing? I don't really care anymore. Also this exchange: http://kotaku.com/comment/34511888 (No, I don't like Crecente, not one bit.) Hahaha, well done. I like Crecente as a guy, but as a journalist? No way. Also, my first COTW nomination by Slanzinger. It's not really relevant anymore, but it was nice to see everyone praise it in the comment section. Edited January 27, 2011 by Showmeyomoves! Showmeyomoves!
Ha, thanks. I was opposed to the slow approval system back then (I remember it took like a week before Ethan got his account approved), but nowadays it seems they'll approve anyone who can slap two words or a picture together.
