How often do you save?

Well, dead and having to walk through roughly 1-2 hours of gameplay to get back to where you were.

It depends.

 

If i where playing on a hand-held device i would save frequently because you never

know when you accidently drop it or if u have only 1 bar left.

 

But if its on console i would save when i accomplish something

Depends on the game. I will sometimes save at parts where I think things will branch but usually I don't even go back and play it from that part again so I delete it later on. If i'm on PC and it's a game like fallout then I F5 it all the time. Console games I definitely save a lot less considering how slow the process is.

Yeah you'd of thought at least old flash based memory cards would of saved faster. Especially favouring small files. But nope saving is pretty dam slow. Auto saves not so much. But maybe you don't notice the time of those due to it not stopping the game and shoving the progress bar in your face.

Um....quite a lot. Every save point in FF's and whenever before I'd enter a place on the world map

If it's a game where I can lose my loot/gear that I've acquired, I'll save constantly. I also save a lot if I've accomplished a lot since my last save...*Remembers an Oblivion game where 4 hours of gameplay were lost due to a crash and weeps*

Depends. In dead space I save every chance I get. RPGs I save every few hours. In about everything else I don't save at all.

Final destination. You die in the game, your adventure ends and you must start a new one.

 

I'm sure we can all remember early PC/NES/whatever games, though now replaying them on emulators, I state save so often, especially out of fear of dying.
