Mr. GOH!
So lets get into it. Anyone here balding? Im never going to go bald, but thinking about it really freaks me out. I also find that not a lot of people can truly sport the bald look, were not all bruce willis. Tell me your thoughts losing your hair. My hair started thinning on top when I was 16. :\ I just decided to not give a shit, so it doesn't bother me. I keep my hair cut short and go about my business. If people don't like that I'm bald or find it unattractive, well, fuck those assholes. I can't help that I have testosterone levels of manly proportions. Mr. GOH!
You ever plan on just shaving your head once your hair is too thin? Oh, I have. That's how I went through college. It's not a look that very well-respected in my professional community, though, so I go with a very close cut with clippers. That sort of cut, oddly, does seem to be much more acceptable than a clean shave. I dunno what it is, but head-stubble seems to be okay. It's better than the long-on-the-sides, shiny-up-top look that seems to be favored by people 20 years older than I am.
Battra92
I started losing my hair in highschool when I was 14-15. Yep, it was horrifying to wake up in the morning with clumps of hair on the pillow. I talked to my doctor and he said it was genetic and there wasn't much I could do. I was picked on for it in high school and in college the thinning got really bad. I know it affected my social life with women as a lot of girls thought I was significantly older than I was. When I met one ex-girlfriend's parents they advised her that dating a man in his thirties was not a good idea. I was 22-23 at the time. Final year of college I said screw it and when I was home alone I checked a YouTube vid on how to shave your head and upon realizing that it is that freaking simple I went upstairs to the bathroom and shaved it bald. I'd like to think I pull it off.
excel_excel
You pull the bald look off very well Battra I don't really worry about it, my dad is bald so maybe it'll happen me sometime. Thinking about it now though, I'd be a bit scared if I didn't have a girlfriend and became bald. I don't think my girlfriend now would care though which is cool. TheForgetfulBrain
Apparently it's on your mum's side, so I'm screwed. My uncle is a bald egghead and an asshole to boot. My hair started noticeably thinning on the top right when I hit college. It sucks. I'm obsessed with long hair on dudes. And that can no longer be me. Screw everything. She kind of effed it up, but it'll look better when use pomade and muss it up.
rainetemplar
Hahaha.. that Fabio commercial had me laughing so bad! I can't really say anything on the matter as a woman (thank goodness) but imho some guys really pull of the look. Actually, it can be very sexy, depending on if a guy is comfortable with it. I mean, just look at Wentworth Miller - he's not completely bald, but I think that kind of look is pretty hot.

Hot Heart
My hair's already kinda thin and crap anyway (no volume!). My mum was telling me about how her uncles and such all went bald in their twenties...so far, so good. Fortunately, I seem to have inherited my dad's youthful looks...which will be handy when I stop looking about five years younger than I am. Enervation
I plan on going bald after I get out of university. Starting to grow a five-o'clock shadow to match it. :U
deanb
Bald can be a very good look: Even for young folks Some people however can't really pull off the look Oh btw you guys noticed the guy who plays Draco Malfoy is getting bald? Unfortunately, if that time I shaved my head the summer before my freshman year of high school is anything to go by, I'll just look like a gnobbly skinhead. Not so good. Got my fingers for a balding cure in the next five years. Then again, it seems like they still haven't cured baldness in any science fiction even, so outlook not so good. SeniorPuffyPants
A few months back I planed on growing my hair low enough so i could mimic some cool asian hair style from the internet. Then one day, my dad straight out told me that "Your going to bald eventualy, why does it matter how your hair looks like" ignored him saying that he was crazy and other nasty things. Then i noticing the "signs", I realized that most of my family members from my dads side are bald , I started seeing little bunches of hair on my pillow, my sisters started to point out that I was balding. I'm totally against going bald because i have this huge mole on the back of my hair so going bald is a really bad idea. IM IN DISPAIR! THE FACT THAT IM EVENTUALLY GOING TO BE BALD HAS LEFT ME IN DISPAIR!
Strangelove
How old are you? If youre in high school or your first year of college you can wear a hat or cap as your gimmick. like fred durst...or those hipster douchebags that wear berets. CorgiShinobi
On mother's side, no hair loss! Grandfather died with full-head of hair, but I have no uncle on that side to make any further judgment. On father's side, well, my father and two of his brothers still have hair. However, his hair and a brother's hair are thin to where they could be bald in a decade or so. Grandfather on this side was bald, and an uncle is already bald. I'm in my early 20's and still have thick, soft hair.

Mister Jack
You bald guys are lucky. You know what a pain in the ass it is to constantly wash and condition and blow dry all this lustrous hair on my head? It sucks so hard when I try to wear a hat and all this hair I don't even need just pushes out from underneath, refusing to be tamed.

SkyGriever
My hair started thinning at 14 or 15. I keep cutting it shorter and shorter so when I finally cut it all or shave it all off, it won't be a striking difference.
