VicariousShaner
Yeah, list your favorite video game ever and say why you think it is. My choice? Minecraft. Amazing in every aspect. Color, fun, danger, humor, creativity, a nice fanbase. Ever hear the saying "Give a man crack and hell ask for more, but give a man a crack machine and hell never leave the house again? me neither, but that's what this game is like. Also has free updates, an amazing multiplayer component which is fueled by the creativity of you and your friends, creative monsters (CREEPER OMG) and once again, its just plain FUN. We need more of that today. Runner Up: TF2,Psychonauts, Portal.

BrainHurtBoy...2
My favorite game of all time would be... Final Fantasy VI. VI was just an incredibly revolutionary, spectacular game, and it feels strange having to explain why it's so great. The villain was perfect, one of the best I've ever seen, it had an incredible, complex cast of characters, which, though large, was amazingly balanced and so finely tuned to be, if not believable, marvelously entertaining. The game allowed for a great amount of character customization, with no character being shafted with a single class or 'paradigm', and revolutionized the genre and the industry in innumerable ways. The game is spectacular and holds up incredibly even in the modern day. I could genuinely write essays about this game. P.S. Loving the new profile pic, Shaner. alienslayer50
To be honest I don't have a favorite video game. There's always going to be another game that amazes me and I find it hard to choose.

RadiantViper
Metroid Prime. Great graphics, atmosphere, gameplay mechanics, there's pretty much not a single thing wrong with this game. EVERY OTHER POST THAT ISN'T METROID PRIME IS WRONG. YOUR OPINION IS BAD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD
Akuam4n
Any Metroid Game on the CG, or GBA. If I had to pick one for each console, I'd choose Echoes and then Zero Mission, overall though, Echoes wins. I fucking loved that game, and I still do. TheMightyEthan
Halo: Combat Evolved. I'm glad I didn't have anything tracking my game time back when that came out, because it would be sad. I probably have a couple thousand hours in it. Vargras
Metroid Prime. All the exploration aspects from Super Metroid safely made the transition to 3D FPS, and Retro Studios made a truly gorgeous game with the most subtle of details. Look up on Tallon IV, and you'll see raindrops on the visor. Use the X-Ray Visor, and you can see Samus' arm inside the cannon. It was a lot of the little things that made it so great. Also, Wave Beam + Missile = ELECTRIC WHIP OF DEEEEAAATTTHHHH. Finished that shit with 100% completion. Pretty sure Other M wouldn't have sucked if Retro Studios had made it. Yantelope
I'm terrible at these things because it's so hard to say that one great game was better than another great game. I'd probably go with Ocarina of Time though.
