TheMightyEthan Posted November 19, 2023 Report Share Posted November 19, 2023 So I know it's a little early still, but I wanted to try something different this year, so I wanted to get the word out early. What I'd like to do is have everybody DM me their personal top 10 list, and I'll compile an overall list for the forum. The way I would do it is assign points, so if you rank a game #1 it gets 10 points, #2 gets 9, and so on, and total up all the points from everyone to get an overall list. The only rules I would suggest is that all the games have to have released this year, and ask everyone to DM me by December 20. Is anybody interested in doing this? We could obviously all post our own GOTY's too like we have before. Also, is 10 games from this year too many? Would 5 be better? Let me know what you think! deanb Posted November 19, 2023 Report Share Posted November 19, 2023 Yeah 5 might be best - I'll be honest off the top of my head I can't think of too many titles from 2023 that I've actually played. In fact my count for games this year will go up to two this afternoon. (Unless we count "weird" stuff like new Fortnite seasons, expansions like Phantom Liberty/CP2077 2.0, etc). Yeah, the submission to me is just so I can score them and generate an overall list, I figure there will be discussion once the list is posted. And yes, only restriction is release this year. Work is long, I get tired, and doing nothing is always easier than doing something. But, I got really into TOTK this year and I've found unwinding with a game like that at night to be beneficial for my mental health, so I've been trying to play more games. Ahaha yeah I use to love Uncharted 3 didn't I?! And no it would be TOTK, the champ. I thought I'd have a hard time coming up with even just five but turns out I played more new releases than I thought. The reason I asked if there were any criterias was because I thought I'd have to give a spot to The Last of Us Part I PC port but I had enough 2023 releases to fill all my spots. Shout out to Talos Principle II. It's very good but it didn't quite make the list. It might have if I had finished it but I haven't touched it in a few weeks because of my number one pick.
