toxicitizen
Holy shit, I don't really do collector's editions anymore but that is one sweet-looking box set. If it came out over here, I might actually be tempted to- *converts from Japanese Yen* -HAHAHAHAHA hell no. At that price, it should come with a fucking PS4. Mister Jack
I tried to play the PC version and even with the mod my experience was completely fucked. I hated Souls games the first time I tried them, but I really liked Nioh and I thought Bloodborne was alright so I'm willing to give the series another chance with a non-fucked port. That is, unless it costs 60 dollars. I'm not paying sixty bucks for a last gen game. Edited January 11, 2018 by Mister Jack
toxicitizen
They said it'll be 40 bucks on consoles and to "stay tuned" for pricing info on PC. I'm guessing they might do some kind of loyalty discount or upgrade for existing owners like they did with Dark Souls 2 Scholar.
Mister Jack
I am skeptical as hell of the PC version. I didn't realize it was coming to other consoles too. I might end up going with the PS4 version in that case. I don't love this series enough to need to play it on the go.
toxicitizen
There's really no reason to worry. The Dark Souls 2 and 3 ports were very solid. And I don't think Switch is the way to go regardless. Souls is meant to be played at 60fps. Resolution and Frame Rate Xbox One (1080p, 60 FPS) PlayStation 4 (1080p, 60 FPS) Xbox One X (Upscaled 4K,60 FPS) PlayStation 4 Pro (Upscaled 4K, 60 FPS) PC (Native 4K, all textures 2K unconverted, 60 FPS) Nintendo Switch (TV mode: 1080p, 30 FPS; Handheld mode: 720p 30 FPS)

It also had a godawful locked internal rendering resolution. It wasn't exactly a technically competent game. 60fps honestly makes a huge difference for these games. CorgiShinobi
Unless there's a good upgrade cost on PC, I'm going Switch for the Remaster. I never got Dark Souls working right on PC and it's been a desire on mine to actually finish the whole trilogy.
TheMightyEthan
@FLD I meant the console versions.
SomTervo
So apparently Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin might be one of the free offerings in February's Playstation Plus package. Pretty nice, luckily I never bought it. And I always like a bit more Souls.
