Mudkip3DS
So, I just saw that Cyan Worlds has released a MASTERPIECE EDITION of Myst onto Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/63660/ Now, I'm not concerned about the 25% off deal, since the price on this is rather low, anyways. But from checking out the screenshots, it seems that all that this amounts to is just a port of Myst to modern systems. Now, while I'm not really a fan of just rereleases without additional content (to make it worth the price), Myst as it was released in the mid-90s does not run well or at all on modern systems, and it seems that this one's been slightly reworked to run well on more modern operating systems. I guess what I'm asking is that if it is worth it or not to buy this ported game? To clarify, I'm the guy who bought the LucasArts Adventure Pack on Steam, so you should have a good idea. deanb
I bought it for $3 before Xmas. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/myst_masterpiece_edition Yet to run it, but if you want I can give it a look tomorrow n tell you what it's like. The GoG version, unlike most games, doesn't come with much extra either.
TheForgetfulBrain
Why not get Real Myst instead? Realtime graphics.
Mr. GOH!
Myst isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Not worth it.
