Battra92
So Bamco finally gives us another Tales game. Who will pick this up? I still have to play through Vesperia on the 360 and Symphonia 2 on the Wii and a couple of PS2 games. One of these years I'll get around to playing Graces but it's not a day 1 purchase for me. Strangelove
Ive never played a tales game so i dont get what the big deal is.
Battra92
They're decent JRPGs but to be honest I don't get the super high fan devotion to them. Symphonia was my gateway drug to the world of JRPGs so I don't mind playing these now and again. Still, I wish I had the time to actually play them these days. :-(
TheMightyEthan
I'd like it, but I still have to play Vesperia first too.
Akuam4n
I still want Vesperia here in NA for my PS3. Geez.
Mal
I never beat Vesperia. I got close but then shit happened in my life and I never gotten around to it. Â Great game but that's it. Nothing to write a novel about. Â I think I will get Graces sometime later since my PS3 RPG collect is pretty damn lacking. I got other games to get to first. excel_excel
It would be awesome if the news of the Homebrew translation project for Graces made Namco make the decision to release Graces in the west
slithy toves
I still want Vesperia here in NA for my PS3. Geez. this! i'd like to play it but i'm not getting a 360 for it. Â oh, yeah, and graces... maybe? i'd rather play vesperia first and i have a huge backlog so probably not high on my list unless i find it somewhere in my travels for a steal. TheForgetfulBrain
I might nab this if it's any good, story-wise. Â I've been looking for a good JRPG I haven't played.
SeniorPuffyPants
Where only getting this game on ps3? i thought we where also getting it for the wii D:
TheMightyEthan
Wikipedia says it's on the Wii as well, but only in Japan.
Battra92
The Wii version was so incredibly buggy that they had to do a recall. I don't think they want to even bother with it here in the States.
Toshi
I'll probably pick this up. Tales are fun games, but I'm not seeing why girls love it so much. I try to think it's the bishies and shipping, but yeah, idgi.
excel_excel
The Wii version was so incredibly buggy that they had to do a recall. I don't think they want to even bother with it here in the States. Â They did send out a fixed version which would have been the version they'd used if they decided to release it. That said with the improved PS3 version coming out who would have bothered? (presuming they have a Wii and PS3)
excel_excel
So here's an english trailer that was shown in december.....Christ it looks bad. And not in a game ported from Wii bad, the environments look like shit compared to Xenoblade. Graphics aren't everything especially in JRPG land but man, I expected something a little better than what Tales of Symphonia looked like. The character animation is ok but aside from that, this looks awful.
Battra92
You know, I totally forgot all about this game. It doesn't look horrible or anything but nothing I'm in a huge hurry to pick up, either. Â Maybe I'll pick it up at $20. :-/
Saturnine Tenshi
Been playing some of the Æ’ since release. And by "playing some of the Æ’" I mean I've been churning that powerful dynamic like a ravenous boar-man! For someone with a general distaste for action RPG's, it's treating me fairly well. After nearly twenty hours of game time, I can say I'm satisfied with paying full price for the game (though I have listed the pre-order DLC on eBay for a considerable slice at what I paid). The pacing is a nice high-and-low, the combat doesn't confuse my dopey hands, I feel like I want to explore, and the characters do their part to engage me with an acceptable level of proficiency. It could be better, but overall, I think the $59.99 is justified. Â That said, the voices are repulsive. Sickening, even. Sophie manages to blow gently on my lobe, sometimes with a nibble alongside that smoky teasing. The dude with the scimitarang is voiced by Jamieson Price (Nier), so he is acceptable. The rest are an ear-blight. When I say this, people often assume I'm a Japanophile. Well, they can suck it. Why do I prefer Japanese voices in JRPG's? Because localization companies don't/cannot afford to spend cash on high-tier voice actors. There is no shout for purity there. You get mid-tier at best. English voices as a thing are not disagreeable: English-derivative games often illustrate this. Unfortunately, Graces Æ’ suffers because voices feel forced or inappropriate.
Toshi
I just bought this and played a few hours, it's pretty decent. I wonder why I'm still playing a kid, but whatever.

Saturnine Tenshi
I guess I'm not the target demographic. My rantish thing from MSN:   it tries to be serious, but i can't take it seriously. even when it tries, it always comes in with some comic relief to ruin it or asbel is all I MUST SAVE ALL MY FRIENDS and i'm like HEY I DIDN'T KNOW I BOUGHT A NARUTO GAME  then there's that awkward shounen romance that isn't really romance but the two "romantic" characters sometimes blushing at one another and maybe a comment or two from the other characters  and an entire dungeon of poop jokes. poop jokes.
