In a film the screen doesn't go fuzzy and the camera all wobbly just cos the lead character is drunk. Film is a ratehr uninteractive medium and doesn't really care much to try n get the audience in on the action. The reason it vibrated is because for years the Foley has always made ringing metal noises after bullet's hit metal objects. I don't think he cared for what the dialogue said, that's someone else's trouble. And a crappy director just didn't notice it I guess. Still, it's a minor bump in the road and a lot of superhero lore has this kinda "roll with it" logic. I mean even some of the gadgets Batman uses are a stretch. EDIT: I think I'll add my ideas on two plot holes I found in the film. It's all at the ending. First off, I find it hard that while the search to find Captain America found the Cosmic Cube, they couldn't find him. They knew his general location, and they didn't seem that far off if, again, they found the cube. Second, and lastly, the flub with playing an old audio recording of a baseball game. With all the intelligence of Captain America's disappearance, you'd think there would be a date on when he went MIA/KIA. I don't know how common the knowledge that sound itself is vibration, so really it's probably not going to be bothersome to the average viewer. It's good to hear that it's good, though, since I wasn't too optimistic beforehand. This has been said a million times before, but I just don't feel for the character, since his whole schtick is based around being patriotic toward a nation I hold no allegiance to. One thing, though. I saw in the trailer he straight up uses a gun. Is that a thing in this movie? Does he just use guns openly and shoot people to death? That doesn't seem very Cap-ish. Or superhero-ish, really. His character isn't nationalistic though. There's a huge difference between patriotism (which is good for anyone from any country) and nationalism (which is bad for all.) The following quote sums it up: "Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. In your quote, Mr. Jack, he still says "This nation", and that's what doesn't appeal to me. I'm not saying he's a bad character, because he's not. He's a pretty decent character. He just holds no appeal to me because I don't feel pride when I think about America. It doesn't matter where you are from but that is something you can get behind. To a degree, but it is a bit of an oxymoron when it's someone called "Captain America" pushing that idea forward. The ringing vibration-proof shield is only a mildly jarring element compared to the overarching fact that the film is "Captain America". Maybe he doesn't stand for "The American Government", or "The American People", rather, he's held out as the personification of how utterly fantastic America is at it's heart hence the "This nation was founded". It's that notion that Captain America is a "pure" (and I use that word with the full weight of history behind it) or "true" American and that, as such he is the barometer of Freedom and Crap Like That.
