TheMightyEthan
So, who else is excited for L.A. Noire? The more I see about it the cooler it looks. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gameplay-series-l-a-noire/710342 I'm especially intrigued by the investigation aspects of the game, and the fact that you'll need to attempt to tell when the characters are lying. Yantelope
This is the #1 game on my radar this year. I hope it's every bit as good as RDR. Not only does it look like tons of fun but it looks like one of the most technically impressive games of the year. Shame it's not being released on the PC. deanb
I dunno on technically impressive. Their faces look like plastic, the main guys especially. It's on my radar, but faintly. Might pick it up over summer. Might not. Depends what other games are eating my time, and what reviews n folks say closer to release. Yantelope
It has a lot of new tech in it and the facial mapping is actually pretty impressive if you watch the trailer all about it. Sure it doesn't look photo perfect but it's far more expressive than RDR was and way ahead of the stone cold Mass Effect Characters.
Mr. GOH!
It seems pretty cool but also seems to be only worth playing through once. It's my most anticipated rental in a long, long time, though.
HotChops
The very concept itself has had me interested since the early videos were released. The games industry badly needs more games like this. The big question that everyone had was about the gameplay, and I'll be honest, that video went ahead of my expectations. I especially like the idea of working your way up from patrol to detective.
Hot Heart
I'm looking forward to this. The new trailer is good except when it started looking like RDR in some aspects (the fact that they're identikit 'gameplay series' trailers doesn't help). It certainly looks like what I wanted Heavy Rain to skew more towards and hopefully there's not too much lame combat or that it holds some significance. It will be cool if you can mess up cases, but we'll see how the 'narrative' functions.
Mister Jack
FINALLY some gameplay footage outside of questioning. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of questioning very much, but we all knew there was more to the game than that.
deanb
Like the racing. And prostitutes.
TheFlyingGerbil
That trailer looks a bit combat heavy. I was hoping for a bit less of that as it was the reason I gave up on GTA IV. Joe
TheMightyEthan
It's been a while since I watched it, but I think I was pleasantly surprised by how little combat there was in that trailer.
Mal
I think this game can fill the missing gaps that I wanted from Mafia 2, specifically things to do in that time period and environment.
Dee
*raises hand* Yeup. Over here. I've got it pre-ordered and I intend to buy it with the $155 credit I have on my PowerUp rewards card at game stop. I'm really glad this finally got a release date, too. For the longest time, there was only a trailer that didn't really explain what the game was about, and then we got this influx of news and now in a few months time it'll be in my hands. :
deanb
Indecisive box-art or what? Most covers/posters etc tend to go with either blue or red. Not so here.
Hot Heart
I thought it was a blue/orange sort of thing anyway, so red's not far off. Besides, red and blue are the lights on top of modern cop cars (even if they had just red back then) so I guess it kinda makes sense. (Although, this does remind me a little of inFamous' special edition inside boxart and, therefore, a morality system)
Cyber Rat
Should have been a black and white cover in the vein of Max Payne.
excaliburps
Ok. I'll admit it. I have never finished a Rockstar game...Ever! I liked GTA4. RDR? Got bored with it. Yes. Flame me all you want but I fell asleep playing it. I'm really hoping LA NOIRE breaks that. I love the setting. The story seems to be top-notch. I like that it focuses more on the narrative than "free-roaming, kill everyone" theme that most sandbox games do. I just hope the detecting parts aren't repetitive. This game kinda reminds me of Heavy Rain for some reason. In a good way. I loved Heavy Rain.
Hot Heart
Ok. I'll admit it. I have never finished a Rockstar game...Ever! Technically, it's not a Rockstar game. It's a Team Bondi game being published by Rockstar. Although a lot of the UI and combat looks very Rockstar-like...
TheMightyEthan
That is some god-awful box art.
WTF
It's a Noir title the boxart should have been minimalist to fit the theme. Something like this I guess.

Hopefully this will be the first Rockstar/Take-Two sandbox game I finish. Please let it be it! Sandbox games bore me I have no idea why... Mal
Sandbox games always have me screwing around to the point that I NEVER finish the game. However, my playtime on it would make you think otherwise.
