Popular Post CyberToyger
Alright, so we've got a working fix for Firefox to automatically redirect anything containing " kotaku.com/ " and " kotaku.com/#! " to the " ca.kotaku.com/ " Step 1) Open Firefox (duh!) Step 2) Download the Redirector extension from -- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirector/ Step 3) Restart Firefox Step 4) Go to Tools -> Add-Ons Step 5) Go to the Extensions tab and look for "Redirector", click on "Options" Step 6) In the "Redirects" tab, click on the "Add" button at the bottom Step 7) In the ' Include pattern ' field, type in " http://kotaku.com/* ", then in the ' Redirect to: ' field type in, " http://ca.kotaku.com/$1 " Step 8) Make sure ' Wildcard ' is ticked and ' Unescape matches ' is checked as well, then press ' OK '. Step 9) Click on the "Add" button again, and this time in the ' Include pattern ' type in, " http://kotaku.com* " , and then " http://ca.kotaku.com/$1 " in the Redirect to box. Tick the same boxes and click on "OK" Step 10) Your settings should look like: Step 11) Close out of Firefox/restart it, then try visiting Kotaku Step 12) A little slow, but welcome back to the old Kotaku! :3

Cyber Rat
If they don't change the Canadian URL, I wonder which will have more hits at the end of the month, this one or the new Kotaku?
CyberToyger
Mine goes to uk.kotaku.com automatically and it's the old one So whenever you visit Kotaku it automatically redirects you to " uk.kotaku.com ", but whenever you click on an article it takes you to the new site? Or do you mean you always see the old site since you live in the UK? XD Edited February 10, 2011 by CyberToyger

King Jimmeh
Thank you very much for the work around You are a legend. I have also set up redirects for Lifehacker and Gizmodo which work as they should, but the ca. and uk. versions of io9 seems to use the new layout as well unfortunately. Any ideas of a workaround for that one?

Any ideas of a workaround for that one? I wish I was more of a programmer rather than a tinkerer, someone would need to write up an Add-on/Extension to read all the text and hyperlinks, as well as somehow find the pictures/backgrounds/assets of the old layout, and render it all together
