So Kovach and I finished all the coop missions. And unfortunately, it looks like you totally have to replay a few to get the G3 unlocked. With all but 3 of the missions done on Easy, Normal, and Hard (have to finish hard difficulty for 3 missions) and I've got about 238,000 points, about halfway to the G3.

Which is unfortunate, but with the exception of a few missions it seems fairly replayable.

It was a tongue in cheek comment.

Nevertheless I still expect only a minority of that vocal minority to actually even download the game, even then, I bet that the majority of that minority of the vocal minority will do so out of principle rather than a desire to play 1943.

Ha! We've been using the insane balancer plugin for procon. It's not perfect but seems a lot better than the stock balancer.

Stock balancer doesn't work properly. Or sometimes doesn't work at all.

I want something that makes VIPs immune to balance.

That'd be insane balancer for Procon. You can have a whitelist for it on top of setting different terms for the balancing like keep squads together, keep clans together, sort based on SPM, sort based on KDR, sort based on score, etc. We currently have it set to balance by SPM, squads and clans not staying together. We had it that it kept squads and clans together initially but the teams kept getting stacked more often than not and the server would start to empty so we just disabled those and now it does a good shuffle and the server's health has benefited from it.

So I've been playing the SP. I know I'm late but... time for a impressions.

Taking it for what it is, its not bad but not great either. Main thing right now is the seemlingly endless enemies which to me is just plain bad design. Playing on Hard, these enemies are not hard as balls as other games but they just keep coming at times if you don't move to X location. Another thing is some of what you see are not what models you get. The space you thought you could shoot through? NOPE! Hell, I found a few spots where you couldn't even shot away from its outer surface until you're up a few inches in game. Funny part is... the enemy can get a clear shot on you.

Non in-game wise, yeah, the whole Origin/browser shit. Origin is alright but the internet browser usage still irks me. Sure Firefox isn't as bad as it was but still, it takes a much larger chunk of power than 95% of my other stuff so it would of been nice to had it off. Maybe it would of made the difference in the performance in game. I stop playing for the night after the stuttering got pretty damn bad.

As a side note... it feel so much better playing with m/kb. Over break, I was playing the PS3 version. While I regained most of my controller hands, the analog sticks in a FPS now really feels odd. Can't get my aim correct at time. M/KB? Everything is dead.

I'm the opposite. I can't stand Origin, but I can deal with Battlelog. I think it's just the combination of the two. Yeah, Battlelog is a pain, but at least it does something. Origin just kind of sits there and doesn't let you close it.

Also, join the PXoD platoon. :D

I realize that my English is very far from perfect, but when I contacted EA tech support about B2K activation... "The horror... the horror..."

Anyway, my copy is still not active and there's a big banner that says "Buy Now" in Battlelog, listing all my friends who bought B2K. And that lady from support said that I should wait. *sigh*

The big question: Are they playable on the same rotation as the release maps ala Northern Strike or do they need to be run as an exclusive rotation ala Vietnam?

They are playable on the same rotation.

Thank fuck for that! I was really worried they'd seperate them out. I think I'll head down to Excel's tomorrow and steal his PC for a bit to check out the new maps. I'm sure he won't mind. :D
