So I bought B2K back on the 13th... and I still can't play it. From what I heard, the Limited Edition had exclusive access for the first few days... until today. The purchases off Origin is in my account and all. So, is this a major screw up on EA/Origin part or did I get a wrong date?

I think that's a problem. I have a friend who didn't preorder, but bought the DLC and he can play just fine, and has been for the past few days.

Ugh... I was hoping I could avoid support. In I go.

Edit: Fixed.

Support was fine this time. Marked me as paid.

I think if it was marked off before, I totally forgot to try to log out from the BROWSER. I tried everything within Origin but not with Battlelog which I forgot was its own thing.

I don't mean to discuss the following but I have to let it out of me: Perhaps if Battlelog was within Origin and not its own thing then I wouldn't have had this problem.

I've always said I don't mind one or the other for playing, as Origin is fairly stable compared to Steam, and Battlelog is a decent server browser, but making you run both to play just seems shiesty and lazy. Especially seeing as how they don't even use the same friends list, this just seems like poorly implemented multiple forms of DRM.

The MAV will now be destroyed when running into a soldier or vehicle at high speed. It is still possible to strategically sacrifice your MAV on a soldier; it will be destroyed in the process.

:bun-totes:

The MAV can no longer be used as an elevator.

I'm very active. Frankly I'm glad they are nerfing the USAS frag rounds. Hell I'd be happy to see it go all together.

You're on Xbox? They have gotten somewhat of a patch of PC already, but I know what you mean. It's a nasty combo to be on the other end of.

I am on the Xbox, although I wont be able to play until monday at the earliest. I love the game, but yea, its nasty. I refuse to use the combo out of principle!!!

That is also something I am excited to see go, especially on levels like Terhan Highway

I like those posters. I'm not long from a game where I and one other guy on our side were doing everything. Everyone else was running to the one spot to get ripped apart over and over again. Of course, it didn't help that the server operators had all stacked on the opposite side either...or that even those who joined squads I created didn't listen to a word I was saying...or that instead of taking folks out on the ground, our chopper was being used as a battering ram for jets...or....No, I'll stop it there. Nice find though! :D

PS3 patch released today. PC and Xbox should be close behind.

It looks like there's some Battlelog modifications that carry over to all platforms, though. AS VAL now has extended mags, as does the RPK (which is probably a bug), and there's some server browser modifications for those on PC.

Should be any day now for the megapatch, though, that's what I'm most excited about.

The biggest issue I had with lock ons was my jet locking on, but no visual or no audio coming through with it, and there fore it resets its self. I've lost many kills that way, after chasing someone right after they release their flairs, then all of a sudden I have them locked on, but I can't fire my missles because the game didn't like keeping up with me.

Fixing the Jets is a big deal. I'm glad they fixed the flares breaking your lock on. Seems like balancing the air has been the worst part about BF3 so far.

Fixed the flares breaking your lock-on? I don't get ya. Isn't that what they're supposed to do?

I'd really like to see them raise the ceiling on some of the maps. There's nothing worse than being chased and finding yourself in the soup of the height limit.

IRL firing flares would only detract the missiles and not disrupt your lock on to an enemy fighter. In BF3 it seems by the time you've locked back on and fired a 2nd missile the flares have already reloaded making heat seekers effectively worthless. It's even worse with the chaff which will still break lock as I understand. They need to make it so that guns aren't the only way to shoot someone down.

Does anyone have any tips on flying the jets? It seems the really good pilots can get around behind me even if I'm on their six. I'm not sure what the secret to turning around quickly is.

Ahhhh, I get ya now. From the time I've spent since getting my PC back up and running, it seems they've at least sorted the problem of having flares back up by the time you get the lock-on again. I think the way they have the flares and missiles coded makes it impossible to keep the lock-on when your target has fired flares. I haven't used the chaff at all. Generally though I stay away from the heatseekers anyway. I find the rocket pods much better as the guns can make quick enough work of enemy jets anyway and the rockets are great against ground targets.

As for the the fast turns, it does take a bit to get the knack of it but assuming you have a mouse with high sensitivity (as an example, my old G5 goes to 2000dpi which is what I fly with) then all it is is a matter of braking with S and accelerating with W alone - don't use the burner until you hit your desired trajectory but just fiddle back and forth between braking and acceleration with quick taps, while turning of course, and you should be able to get the jump on them. I don't know if I explained that very well but ya should see what I mean when ya try it and you'll be able to perfect the motions yourself.

I'm going for a couple of round myself now if ya wanna join me.

Aaaaand the new patch is out for PC people. Haven't got a chance to play it yet, but it looks like it's got most of the changes from the old changelog I posted earlier.

Shame they haven't fixed fall damage or the burst-fire bug yet, though. Those are really the big gripes I have still.
