Yep. I love the anonymity. :)

Actually you're not anonymous. It's just that no one probably checked but might be best to nip it in the bud before anyone notices :P.

If you follow your profile link on the article, it takes us to the staff page which basically has your name and two links. Your name links to excaliburps and your posts link to the stuff you've posted. Just saying if someone wanted to connect the two it's not that difficult :).

Huh? What? I tried it and doesn't direct me to the things I posted. Maybe because I'm logged in? Damn! Good thing I haven't commented anything bad or something.

Thanks for the heads-up! :)

Hope you noticed it but basically if you click on Alex Co on the article is when it takes you to the staff page and for some reason on the staff page your name links to Alex Co which you can see is to your profile. The show all posts link next to it links to show all posts of course. But yeah no probs. I guess since they don't have an official profile for you, they linked it to your comments profile?

I was just about to post this.

It's pretty, but that whole segment was waaayyy too much like Call of Duty's single player for my taste.

You know, at this point I'm really just concerned with the console multiplayer. It seems like the entire idea is a little backwards: bigger maps, but less players? I would rather them just do what they have to do to get it up to 32 players, even if it means making the maps no larger than BC2 and removing the jets (blasphemy, I know.)

You mean make a special version for consoles? Or change the overall concept of the game?

HERESY

What? Damn! Ah, well. Doubt they'd take the time to check it anyway. :) I also won't post anything that will instigate flaming. Just to be safe.

What do you think of the site so far? :D

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The devs had said that more players doesn't automatically equal=more fun. I'll wait and see first before I pass judgment. But to be honest, it could be BC2 with better graphics, new maps, new kits, etc. And I'd still get it. BC2 is still my fave MP game this gen.

Only concern is the player count and how it will translate to the maps. For the rest of the things? I'm kinda optimistic DICE can pull it off.

For those who are curious, Josh Olin, Treyarch's Community Manager was asked about Frostbite 2.

http://bit.ly/hQtAqn

Bonus points that Daniel Matros, DICE CM, also commented as well. :)

Blasphemy I say! :D

Maybe it's just the way that certain bloggers have reported their comments, but people from DICE are starting to sound a bit arrogant and rude. It's not really Treyarch's decision to keep milking the same technology and catering to a more "Hollywood" single player experience. These are budgetary and marketing decisions handed down to them.

When Josh Olin says, "we can update it to do those things.” I think it would be better for Daniel Matros to simply suggest: "So the next Call of Duty will have destructible environments, realistic physics and dynamic effects?" Yes, what Olin said is total bullshit, but the man also just complimented your technology. How about a little grace and politeness among developers?

Instead they're just inflaming this cock contest between two games that imo have very little in common and cater to very different audiences.

I think it's probably how the interviews were worded most probably. I actually had DICE GM Karl-Magnus take a look at that link and asked him if he'd care to comment. His response? "No :)"

Regarding Matros, he's generally a very passive guy. He certainly doesn't want to hear how BF will kick CoD's ass, etc. I mean he was plugging Homefront before it got released to be honest. One thing weird is he's following Robert Bowling and NOT Olin. Maybe some bad blood between them? He normally doesn't talk trash as well.

There will be a lot of issues right after the release(as with every BF game).

I prefer to think of them as a part of "Battlefield Experience".

Yeah, Dice are great developers but they always let a good handful of bugs and issues through the door and usually cause some more issues when they fix others. I still love them though and I'll be happy dealing with some issues as long as the game itself isn't some console port.
