P4: Gritty Reboot
Saw Snow White & the Huntsman today. It's surprisingly not terrible, though it's very straightforward and predictable. Visuals were nice, Charlize was great, Hemsworth was great, Stewart wasn't awful. Worth a rental I'd say.

Hot Heart
Forgot to put that I saw Star Trek (2009) on TV the other day. I'm not a big Star Trek fan and I'm sure the ad breaks didn't help things, but I couldn't get into it. Â It didn't really contain anything I'd expected, given what I'd seen of Star Trek, and maybe that was the point. It was just the Kirk and Spock Show, really. The time-travel stuff was a bit 'uhh...' and the villain was kinda boring, but I suppose it was entertaining blockbuster fluff, and I watched it all. Strangelove
Movies you saw on tv really shouldnt count. Commercials butcher good films most of the time. They fuck up the pacing and cut out content. Lame.
CorgiShinobi
Movies you saw on tv really shouldnt count. Commercials butcher good films most of the time. They fuck up the pacing and cut out content. Lame. i.e. Watching No Country for Old Men on Spike. Â With its pacing and how often Spike throws commercials during movies, it ruined my experience. CorgiShinobi
Oh hey, I'm going to put Prometheus here too! Â No, really, I didn't have any expectations, but this wasn't as enjoyable as I hoped it would. There are far too many cliches, and most of the characters are begging to be killed. I was actually glad that David was being ruthless and had his own goals. The goals of the other characters were so boring. Â Sure, there are some good revelations, but you're going to find yourself realizing how unnecessary some of the actions characters are to the overall movie. I swear, it was like watching a horror flick with a bunch of horny dumb teens, but they're scientists and engineers. This isn't even hyperbole, and believe me I wish it was... Â You don't need an extensive knowledge of the Alien franchise because anything familiar is changed. There are other nitpicks, but I don't think this was as good as it could have been. The best part was in the middle of the film and that was really it.
P4: Gritty Reboot
The best part was in the middle of the film  And in the middle of Shaw's uterus am I right?
TheFlyingGerbil
I just watched Down With Love, which is completely daft but enjoyable. It's got Ewan McGregor who is as adorable as ever and spends half the movie with his shirt off. and Rene Zellweger at her least annoying which is no mean feat. The supporting cast were good too, David Hyde Pierce was pretty much Niles Crane and the other woman was good and looked familiar but I can't think were from. Strangelove
God Bless America. The first half is awesome, but the least half is really really predictable. The movie was just too long really.

Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
Ted. I normally despise everything Seth McFarlane makes, so Ted's inclusion in an "OK Movies" list is a huge step up for him. Many of the jokes were funny, especially if you have any familiarity with Flash Gordon, and it was functional as a movie. That being said, you've seen the same plot in millions of other movies, and every once in a while a Family Guy-esque joke popped up that made me roll my eyes. Mister Jack
I used to sorta like Seth MacFarlane for a while until it lost its luster, but the Trailer I saw for Ted made it look like a huge piece of crap.

TheRevanchist
Madagascar 3. Just okay. The penguins and their antics make the movie watchable. But, the main character is kind of someone you don't really care about. I thought the antagonist could have been way more developed. Â Basically, the kids in the theatre didn't really laugh at the jokes in the movie as much as they laughed at the preview for Despicable Me 2, which I am very much looking forward to next year. Hot Heart
Solomon Kane.  It was only £2.50 and I'd heard good things, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's not really bad, and it adheres to its gritty and grimy style fairly well, with some decent moments of action. The story just felt a bit lacking overall and it never really hits its stride.  Was funny having a serious action hero from the west country though. TheMightyEthan
I haven't seen any Bourne films after the second one. The camera work was so psychotically shaky that I couldn't tell what was happening in any of the action scenes, which made it boring to watch. I understand that they were trying to convey the confusion of actually being in a fight, but if it makes the movie unpleasant to watch then I'm not going to watch it.
