AcidCrownie
My two favorite apps to play (iPhone) are Minigore and Game Dev Story. Mad Chad is a fun timewaster too. All are worth the money. My favorite non-gaming app is Pi Calculator. It has a large library of stored equations. As a math major, it's totally useful, and worth 10 bucks. Chronixal
Considering I, like many, didn't expect the mobile phone to really take off as a gaming platform but that said I have quite a few games on my iPhone which I play on a regular basis. My favourites are; Zenonia 1 & 2 Cut the Rope DoDonPatchi Revolutions Espgaluda II Bejeweled 2+ Blitz Lets Golf Sonic 4 The last 2 you can probably skip as I got those for free but everything else is excellent. Oddly enough, I didn't get the hype over Angry Birds. It's the same flash game we've all been playing for years. I remember when it was Penguin Olympics. jayc4life
Game Dev Story I can vouch for, and I really like Angry Birds too. Canabalt and The Incident are also good and worth a mention. Also quite good is Doom: Resurrection. It's a rail-shooter based on the Doom 3 engine that uses the tilt sensors to aim around the screen. It's pretty enjoyable, but as to whether I'd get it at full-retail, I don't know, probably not. I got it when it was 70% off for Doom's anniversary or ID's or something like that. Mudkip3DS
I feel like a walking, breathing, and living infomercial at this point*, but I highly recommend you guys get The Incident. It's chock-full of 8-bit music goodness while filled with a 256-color palette reminiscent of those grand ol' 16-bit adventure games. There's a free Lite version available in the App Store if you want to try it out (Apple seriously needs to work out a Demo option, IMO...). Other than that, Rage is a good choice, as is Game Dev Story as well. Infinity Blade may look good from its seriously stunning eye candy, but the gameplay is kind of lacking once you get past the visuals. *Right now, I'm imagining a blinking <ADVERTISEMENT> sign right under my text dialogue. I almost feel like Cobb and his infomercial appearance in Monkey Island 1...
deanb
I'm mostly loving WinAmp at the moment for my Android. Seesmic is pretty cool too, especially as it recently updated. Gamewise it's mostly little silly things. I'm currently enjoying Trap! as it's like an old game I had on my computer when I was a kid. The Wordpress app has proven kinda handy too. Though more for my personal blog and course blog than for PXOD.
Chronixal
For anyone who's jailbroken their iPhone, biteSMS is an absolute must. It puts Apple's native message app to shame.

As in their texting app? Also, funny story (insert ditzy lol here). I went to jailbreak my phone... When I plugged it in, it asked me to update it. So I did. >.> Yeah. Mister Jack
Right now I'm playing a lot of Gun Bros, but I'm impatiently waiting for the Secret of Mana port that's supposed to be out this month. Hopefully it works well.
staySICK
gingerbread is supposed to include stuff to entice game developers. I hope it works. (PSP phone)
Chronixal
For anyone who's jailbroken their iPhone, biteSMS is an absolute must. It puts Apple's native message app to shame. As in their texting app? Yes, it replaces the txt app with one that actually works as it should; quick compose/reply, being able to read and reply to texts from any app, etc. That it's been out so long and Apple still haven't integrated these features is boggling. Speaking of updating, I'm hoping whatever firmware we're up to these days is jailbreakable when I pick up my i4 on Friday.

Faiblesse Des Sens
I've been using HeyTell lately. It's a fun "walkie talkie" app that's cross-platform. Basically instead of texting your friends, you just say that two sentence text. Much faster once you get them in your list and they get the app, too. staySICK
I picked up tetris for a dollar. also noticed that Game Dev Story is available for android now. http://www.appbrain.com/app/game-dev-story/net.kairosoft.android.gamedev3en
Mister Jack
Don't play Game Dev Story if you have to get up early the next day. That's all I'm gonna say.

deanb
Dolphin Mini (It's in beta, enough so they updated it other day and I had to relearn the UI again ) It's lean, mean n clean. I got rid of Dolphin HD the day after I picked it up. Also I've been playing the shit out of Angry Birds the past week. Being quite addictive. I love when you leave it at night on a level you're stuck on, the next morning a couple catapult pulls later n you'v cleared it. I think it's kinda crap it has no online score board. Though I assume it has Gamecenter support on iPhone.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Is dolphin mini faster than the standard browser?
deanb
I can't say I remember the standard browser much actually. It's much less shit n basic. It's free so worth grabbing n testing yourself.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I didn't like Dolphin HD. The whole look was too bloated. edit: Downloaded it and tried a few sites. Definitely a lot better! Perfect for my 2.1 phone with my shit slow processor. Edited December 30, 2010 by Faiblesse Des Sens
deanb
Yeah I'm on 2.1. And it's totally a breeze past HD. Glad you like it and that I brought it to someones attention.
