I've been getting back into fighting games recently, particularly Guilty Gear, but playing them with an Xbox style controller is just too cumbersome. I have an old SNES style controller too but it's just not quite doing it for me so this is where it's at as far as I'm concerned. I like that it has both wireless and wired options, and if I feel like swapping out the stick or face buttons at any point I can mod it fairly easily. Haven't used it too much yet but I've been doing fairly well with Elphelt and Slayer so far which is enough for me to give this stick a thumbs up. I've bought so much 8bitdo stuff that I probably sound like a shill at this point but their controllers have been even better and more reliable for me than the official ones in some cases. In fact, one of them had the sticks wear down after using it for years so you know what I did? Bought replacement sticks for $10 and fixed it myself. WHAT A NOVEL CONCEPT. I was actually gonna buy the 240hz version from Newegg cause it was on sale, but then I did a quick Google check and found that Walmart had the 360hz version for the same as Newegg's 240hz sale price. So that's sweet. *Edit - Though I actually plan just to use it in 120hz mode cause I don't want to make my 120hz LG TV start looking juddery to my eyes the way that TV made 60hz look juddery... Ubisoft have been adding Steam achievements to a lot of their older games and they've also had several sales, so I went on a bit of a buying spree over the last few weeks. Because I don't have enough of a backlog already, I guess! Also this being the only game in the series I didn't own yet, I figured I'd grab it while it's on sale. TheMightyEthan Posted February 3 Report Share Posted February 3 For me it's mainly because I think the pacing is awful, the gameplay is not fun, and every section is approximately 3x longer than it should be, which just exacerbates the fact that it's not fun. Enter the Scuf Envision Pro. It's PC-only, but way more customizable than other "pro" type controllers, and also cheaper. I'm a little nervous about the different positioning of the back paddles compared to what I'm used to, but we're gonna give it a shot. I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen so many games 90% off. Anyway, grabbed a few dirt cheap ones. Steep and Immortals just got Steam achievements this week, too. It wasn't in Mirage, and the last few it's not really gone anywhere and more been about the modern character's interaction with the in-animus story that the modern world narrative moving forward. It's honestly just a distraction at this point. I wish they would wrap it up and be done with it. Also the in-animus stories aren't related so there is no reason to play the all/play them in order you should just pick pit the ones that appeal to you. Also, kind of antithetical to this thread. I don't know if I'll be able to play AC:Shadows. My only PC is a laptop which doesn't run as well as the specs would suggest so no chance I could play a game on it and I haven't been tempted to buy a current gen console yet and don't see that changing. I think it's one of the few games I feel like I'm missing out on. Maybe I'll look at streaming it one day but that would have to be a lot better than last time I tried it which was admittedly a while ago.
