ixa
what type of dog is she anyway? there's only a few breeds that I can really recognize.
Mister Jack
I have no freaking clue. The vet didn't even know. Obviously she's SOME kind of mutt, but we could never pin down just what two breeds she's supposed to be a mix of.
ixa
she kind of looks familiar, if you know what I mean. like...she looks like a certain breed of dog I've seen/know about but I can't put my finger on which. I feel like maybe there's a certain breed of herding dog in there, but I can't figure out what specifically. either way though she's a really nice looking dog and that's about all that matters in the end. if anyone asks what breed you can just say "the cool breed". Mister Jack
I always thought she might have some Border Collie, but there's really no way for me to ever be positive.
AcidCrownie
This is my dog, Toby. He's a lab/akita mix. Greatest dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

slithy toves
thanks acid! yeah, even the vet was always surprised at how spry and young my kitty seemed until about a year before she passed when she started to show signs of serious tummy troubles. no one ever guessed she was more than 7, though. meh, even if she was acting sick for years it still would have sucked when she passed. i still actually kind of miss having her paw at my face in the morning and stare at me like a creep while i'm sleeping. i like how this thread's panning out, pets are great. so are children! keeping in the costume theme here's a more recent picture of my spooky kitty. i wish it was better quality, but you have no idea how hard it was to even get this picture of him in this thing. i'm actually really surprised he didn't stay more mad at us for this. MetalCaveman
I have a black cocker spaniel, I will try to post a picture later, we don't have any since she always runs away when you try to take a pic
Leyez
This is my beautiful black tortie cat. She is hilarious, super-friendly, affectionate, needy & always has to be the center of attention. She snores in her sleep and her nose whistles when she's tired/exasperated. slithy toves
i love torties! her personality sounds like my female orange tabby used to be, is she very talkative? mine would yell if you stopped paying appropriate attention to her. Battra92
No pets here but the fiancee wants a red eared slider since I have a firm no cats rule.
AcidCrownie
Whoa, Lies, I have a cat that looks *just* like that. From the same litter as my cat in the OP. A calico and a tortie from the same litter. Crazy stuff.
Mister Jack
Not actually my cat, but he does look pretty similar and I just had to share this.

Torties are so funny! She only talks when she notices you're not paying attention to her...and for some reason she meows whenever you cough or sneeze. It's like she's saying "gesundheit!" or something. =_=;;;
Leyez
What's her name? Empress Letigra - or just Tigra for short.

Mister Jack
My cat Casper (the one on the left) likes to pick on Magic (the one on the right). He will follow her around and just reach out nonchalantly and tap her with his paw because he knows it pisses her off. She's VERY territorial and she hates his guts. That picture of them sleeping next to each other is a rare cease-fire. They only seem to get along when they're both sleepy. And even then sometimes he'll stretch out and touch her just to ruin her nap. He's kind of a dick.

Mister Jack
I dunno if it's an age thing (she's old and he's young) or a gender thing. Or if he's just a huge jerk.

slithy toves
yeah, my male cat was younger by like 7 years so at first i thought it was an age thing, but now that she's gone he just comes by and bats my ankles and stuff just like he used to sneak attack her when she walked by so i'm going with my cat's just a jerk.
