excel_excel
It seems to me that some PC gamers just don't join a boycott group about it. The sales speak for themselves. Why was there such a sales dip on PC for Modern Warfare 2 compared to 1? Anyway back to Diablo 3! Remember when there were people bitching about it being too colourful? Popular Post MasterDex
Does it fucking matter in the end? The game sold upwards to 20 million copies. Pretty sure they don't give a shit when a fucking game sells more than 20 million copies. And what does 20 million copies have to do with my decision? They could sell triple that. It still wouldn't make a difference to my decision to not buy or my opinion on the matter. The fucking bickering about this shit is pointless. It's a fucking Diablo III thread, not a "PC USERS REMEMBER ALL THE SLIGHTS THAT HAVE GONE AGAINST US" thread. It is a fucking Diablo III thread and the way the discussion has went has been towards a focus on the point many of us have opinions on (What a surprise!). It's not as if those of us that are saying we aren't happy or won't be buying Diablo III are just pointlessly posting shit just to keep the topic of discussion to our "complaining". We've been responding to other members replies to us and have kept it, for the most part, civil. In fact, some of us had been done with the topic, after having said our piece and discussed/debated the topic with other members until mergedwarrior decided to tell us all what we'd be doing. Then the discussion sparked up again and some good points were made by both sides of the argument. Then mergedwarrior and yourself just started posting shit making no point at all. Hell, I'm just glad that you've bothered to tell us all how you feel. You know, instead of getting all pissy because you didn't like the direction the thread was going, you could have just posted about how much you're going to enjoy Diablo III, turning the topic of discussion into something more positive about the game. You didn't however. Instead, you chose to post a pointless comment about upvoting, make a sarcastic comment about a screenshot and then go ranting at me when I alluded that a comment of more substance might be more worthwhile. Go back to fucking complaining about how somehow in the year 2011, that people don't have a constant internet connection. Holy shit I got off dial-up three damned years ago and I'm 90% sure that I was one of the few dudes left in this world who had to suffer that fucking noise every time the internet loaded. I think we've made our arguments. I don't see any reason to rethread old ground. Just as there are some guys in the fucking sticks with McRib tattoos who think a vegan is some fucker from DBZ, there are SOME people without constant internet. Here's the truth behind the matter, from the corporate standpoint: MOST OF THE PEOPLE WE ARE AIMING TO SELL THIS GAME TO HAVE A CONSTANT INTERNET CONNECTION AND WE CAN MAKE THE MOST MONEY OFF OF THEM. Here's the truth behind the matter, from my standpoint: I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT THE CORPORATE STANDPOINT IS. I WON'T BE GETTING THE GAME. Like I said above, we gave our opinions about the game. In a thread about the game. Thank you for sharing yours with us, though it would have been nice if you had done so in a more respectful manner. Goddamn I was having a good day and I come in here and read all this fucking complaining and holy shit I'm gonna go for a walk. Gotta hate that complaining! Only thing worse is complaining about complaining...shit, I guess that's kind of a complaint about complaining about complaining...Is that worse?

Chewblaha
Yo, Dex. Get the fuck over yourself. I was talking about people complaining about MW2 in general. Boycotts are fucking stupid in the end, and all they settle are personal feelings. Plus, don't think I'm here to enjoy Diablo III. That game is going to suck anyway, and NOT because of the DRM. Sorry, I don't see what I have to get over. You replied to me and I responded. Since coming here, I've noticed you're often very critical. For someone who can give it, you don't seem to be very good at taking it. I fail to see how you were talking about people complaining about MW2 in general, especially from the following: The fucking bickering about this shit is pointless. It's a fucking Diablo III thread, not a "PC USERS REMEMBER ALL THE SLIGHTS THAT HAVE GONE AGAINST US" thread. That doesn't seem very general to me. MW2 was brought up by mergedwarrior, likely in an attempt to make a point about how stupid he believes boycotts are, which I responded to, which you commented on which I replied to. For someone that seems quick to be critical, you don't seem to handle it very well. So you believe boycotts are stupid and that all they settle are personal feelings. Instead of making snide remarks about a screenshot that's worth less than piss as far as the topic at hand goes and getting uppity, why didn't you just say that? Your reasoning would make for a nice addition too. As I think of your last comment, I'm reminded of an article on RPS just the other day. It was a good article on why this vile things called complaining can actually be a good thing. You should give it a read. Chewblaha
Plus! I am probably THE MOST criticized person on this forum, Dex. It doesn't bother me. What does bother me is bickering about MW2 or any other obvious gold-mine game. You know nothing, Dex Snow. GENERAL OPINIONS NOW(!): Point is that bickering about these quadruple-A titles is stupid. Half of the goddamn world won't care about D3's DRM and they'll buy the game. Your complaints about the DRM will literally have no effect on them. Blizzard won't have their balls jump back into their pelvis like they did when they were gonna put real names with Real ID. That was a fucking cop-out on their part. Blizzard has the right to sell their product however they wish. You have the right not to buy their product, no matter how bad you may want it. That's how shit goes, deal with it. If you read my opinions on the matter, you'll see I am dealing with it. By not purchasing the game. Sure, nothing is likely to change but that doesn't invalidate my decision to not buy the game, just as in the case of MW2. Neither does it deny me the right to voice my opinion on the matter. Would I like it if my complaints amounted to something? Yes, of course I would, but I'm not so naive as to assume that something will happen. Maybe it's the population at large or maybe it's just with gamers but lately, as mentioned in the RPS article, there's this general opinion of "Shut the fuck up! You're not allowed to complain!". It's often hypocritical too as those same people will complain at length about something else and feel they have every right to do so. In the end, it ends up coming across more like "Shut the fuck up! You're only allowed to complain when I agree with you!" and that's just absurd. Unfortunately, It seems to me that that's what you're doing here. On a final note, talking down to someone may come across to you as a good way to make yourself out to be the bigger/better/righter man but it's just insulting and doesn't help your argument in any way. Back on topic: Excel mentioned the complaints about the colour palette of Diablo III, does anyone here getting the game still care about that? I don't recall ever caring, I actually like the new style they went with. Edited September 13, 2011 by MasterDex
Chewblaha
I tell everyone to shut up. That's a well-documented fact. Also: I'm telling everyone to shut up about that shit because the game was made two years ago. It's fucking done. Move on. DRM is here to stay. MOVE ALONG. It's annoying watching people complain about the same thing over and over and over and over (Mike's Hard Lemonade). Edit: Meant to upvote your post, sorry. Its not too bright its not too dark*If i hear another person say its bad because its too bright im gonna snap*. They went with the graphical style because of WoW, a style of the like which ages very very well. A ton of games do it for that reason alone, it just means they are in it for the long haul to support this game.

Chewblaha
Keywork did bring a good point up yesterday during Ragefest 2: Electric Boogaloo. D2 only had four really bright spots. Then again it was the desert and snow, so I'd think it'd be necessary. The point I think most people try to make is that D3 looks cartoony now, when it really was supposed to look really gritty n' shit like that. That's why those pictures of Soundgarden and AIC represent D and D2, while Hannah Montana represents D3. I guess it just seemed that D2 took itself seriously throughout all those years with it's really hard-nosed look. D3 doesn't. That's just the idea. Maybe. Johnny
"Reworked" in blizzard terms usually means it has the same flavor as before but the mechanics are completely different. So, you'll probably get rockets and grenades.
