TheFlyingGerbil
Yeah, it's impressive they come up with that solution but mind boggling they'd have to.
TheMightyEthan
Just saw on the Bethesda twitter account:  To our fans who’ve asked: Fallout 4 doesn’t end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling. Cool that it doesn't stop after the main story.  Weird that you can level forever though.
toxicitizen
Yeah, no level cap doesn't seem like a positive to me. Didn't they also already say that enemies don't scale? That's good but you kinda need a cap to balance that out, no? Â I was a little worried that they showed nothing but the sandbox-y stuff at E3 but now it's kinda starting to sound like that might actually be the main focus of the game. That would be such a massive fucking disappointment. I don't play Fallout to build a shitty outpost and "fuck shit up", as the gameplay trailer so eloquently put it... Â I love Fallout 3 despite its shortcomings but I really hope Bethesda aren't taking this one even further away from what makes Fallout, well, Fallout. deanb
Fallout: Minecraft style? Â Does Skyrim have no level cap of sorts, you just sorta hit a limit to how much perks you can have really. It has been sometime though.
deanb
 The first of several "SPECIAL" videos. I would guess we've been given a peek at the in-game Perk system too (that leaflet, since they're going quite skeuomorph with the Pipboy already). deanb
Â Bit of a longer video on the crafting and modding stuff. The customisation stuff should be pretty damn cool.

deanb
Â Some Dogmeat: Â (you'd think with this much access to a real dog they'd have figured how to texture and animate one right?
Mr. GOH!
It's Endurance S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video day! Â
deanb
Â Well this confirms that the guide shown in the SPECIAL videos is your perk chooser. There's 275 all together (70 individual perks X multiple levels for each). So there's why you can level forever.
deanb
New SPECIAL video: Charisma   Also panel from E3:  I like how they're promoting the game, but not really having much new footage. I guess it could mean it's wank, but tbh Bethesda are pretty damn consistent.
deanb
http://bethesda.net/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=100315-PerkChart&hootPostID=069ef739fa5623ebb157abf9616547c4#en/events/game/fallout-4s-character-system/2015/09/24/31 Â Horrible URL but it explains how the perk system works and even shows off some of the in-game skill book artwork (it would seem there's individual artwork for each of the skillbooks)
deanb
http://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/prepare-for-the-future-fallout-4-important-release-info/2015/10/08/35 Â System Requirements and lots of other nitty gritty info like supported languages and such. Â Intelligence video is also out but I'm at work and in control of the office music today so can't load Youtube.
Mal
Lets see what Bethesda can do with 8 GB of RAM at FO4's graphical fidelity. Besides my GPU, I'm running on 5+ years old hardware. Might not matter much but this might be interesting. Â Edit: And holy shit! It's only a month away! I keep forgetting that it's due to drop in November. Edited October 8, 2015 by MaliciousHarpy...?
Mr. GOH!
8GB of RAM should be plenty since the graphics are mainly limited by vRAM and not system RAM. I mean, 8GB RAM is enough for every modern great-looking game I play, so I'm not worried about FO4's system requirements. The problems will be the patented Bethesda Open World Bugs .  Edit: Here's the Intelligence video. And, holy shit, does it imply that there will be driveable vehicles in this one?  Edited October 8, 2015 by Mr. GORE!
deanb
I had similar thought, but apparently it's a perk from previous games though I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

TheMightyEthan
I'm pretty much just waiting to see what if any the differences are between the PS4 and Xbone versions of the game are, in terms of performance, etc. Â Luckily since there pretty much aren't preorder bonuses I don't feel like I'm missing out by waiting.
Mr. GOH!
I bet there won't be any major differences. Between the consoles, I mean. PC will be the best by leaps and bounds. I'm just waiting for the inevitable last-minute GMG preorder discount.
TheMightyEthan
It wouldn't surprise me if they're functionally identical, but then it also wouldn't surprise me if PS4 is 1080p and Xbone is 900p, or if they're both the same res but one of them performs significantly better.
