Strangelove
I wouldnt say that. Sonic Generations and both Sonic racing games are fantastic. Do they even make anything else?
TheMightyEthan
They also publish the Total War series, and now Company of Heroes.
Strangelove
"Bomba". I get what it means, but where the fuck did it come from? It annoys me for some reason.
TheFlyingGerbil
I've never seen that. When is it used?
Strangelove
When a game bombs. Ive usually noticed it on Neogaf and CAG. I think even people on Kotaku use it too.

Mister Jack
The acronym "smh." I don't know what it is about those three letters, but it really annoys me when I see them used right next to each other. Thursday Next
Partly because it always takes me a beat to work it out, but also because it can't be read like "lol" or "rofl" can. "Smuh"?
TheMightyEthan
I've never seen smh before that I can recall, but first impressions are I don't like it. It not being pronounceable is a big part of that.
Saturnine Tenshi
I think I just read over that one without ever knowing what it means.
Mister Jack
It means "shaking my head." It's usually used by uppity, self-righteous people.
Hot Heart
Even after finding out, I can never remember what 'smh' means. I just know that 'so much hate' is close enough.

Mal
^ smh When I think of a "smh" moment... what comes out from me is "WTF?".
Mister Jack
You'll see smh used a LOT in the comments sections of news websites. Also, the comments sections of news websites. That's another pet peeve of mine.
Mal
Youtube is up there with news sites. It'll either go down the Nazi, capitalism v. socialism, terrorism/Arab are shit routes, and other things. Not to mention attention whores. PXOD sent me here. <
Baconrath
Ah, good ol' Godwins Law...
TheMightyEthan
The law is sometimes invoked, as a rule, to mark the end of a discussion when a Nazi analogy is made, with the writer who made the analogy being considered to have lost the argument. I take issue with this use of it by some people, because sometimes the Nazis or Hitler are a valid point of comparison. Yes, there are many more time when it's inappropriate, but just because they came up doesn't mean there wasn't a good reason.
Thursday Next
Yeah, it's not a "first person to invoke a nazism comparison loses" rule it's stating that the longer a discussion continues the more likely it is that nazism will be raised. It's no different to saying "the likelihood that someone will say "um" increases the longer a conversation continues."
Hot Heart
Oh god, I hate when people say Godwin's Law was 'used'.

Hot Heart
Oh, I didn't mean your example. Yours was pretty much the same point I was making. When someone claims someone else 'used' Godwin's Law and, therefore, lost.
