TheMightyEthan
Live chat is always the way to go, because it requires the least attention while waiting.

As someone who has been on the other end it's usually a matter of being understaffed. It's the same thing as Valve. They have millions of customers and clearly only 3 people who do support.
Eleven
I have this ticket to Blizzard cause I lost access to my account when I reset my phone with the Battle net authenticator. Now I don't really know what to do, because to follow it up and track the support ticket, i need to login to my account. And they said in the mail if I raise multiple tickets it'd add to the delay (what?). I just wanted to play Hearthstone. I just created a new account, I don't have purchases on that account anyway. If they respond to that ticket, cool.
CorgiShinobi
When someone leaves you a voice mail about the status of your possible employment and asks you to call them back at no specified time. Three calls later and still no response on their end.
TheFlyingGerbil
Hope it's good news when you get it. I'm in here to hate on people that show clips/gifs/captures from films or programmes, with an "I love this show" comment but don't say what the programme is. If they love it they should make it easier for other people to watch it!

TheFlyingGerbil
maybe they want the opinion of people they respect and know the tastes of/share tastes with? Some website may give a game is a 6 cos they're played out and need wowing, or you do a search and see angry people shouting into the void, but if I asked you guys what you think I know I'll get a reasoned view of its good and bad points and know I can make make a better decision because of it. Maybe they just want a conversation so they can pretend they are not alone, staring into their screen...
Strangelove
There's a difference between asking a small forum like this. We all kind of know each other and can gauge how much an individual's opinion matters, but it's a different thing to ask gamefaqs or neogaf about shit like that. youre basically asking for hyperbole and fanboy bias. Useless.
Vecha
Hate when people brush off something shitty with the excuse that something else is shittier. You can feel in the shit with whatever you've seen compared.
Popular Post Strangelove
Hey, there are kids in Africa right now, just hanging out....doing stuff. I don't know what. I've never been to Africa. There's lions and stuff there I think. But they don't have Panera Bread or Hobby Lobby there. That sucks. Think about that next time you bitch about your mp3 download speeds and your soy decaf caramel macchiatos and whatnots. Jerk.
Vecha
I was actually thinking about a first world problem being shittier than another first world problem.Shows how first world privileged I am.The country Africa should elect a new president to tame those lions btw.
Popular Post Mister Jack
There's actually a name for that stupid argument. It's called the fallacy of relative privation. Popular Post TheMightyEthan
You are only ever allowed to care about whatever is literally the worst thing in the world at that moment, you can't care about anything else until that thing is fixed, or something even worse arises, in which case you have to instantly stop caring about the first thing.

Feel free to call people out on it the next time they use it on you.I actually kept that term and definition open in my phone's browser for like a full week back when I learned it, just to make sure it was committed to memory haha. What's weird is that I don't think I've referenced it by that name even once since then. I have used the term whataboutism though... It just happened to be more appropriate for the context of the discussion(s).
Strangelove
I've probably mentioned this before, but I hate fan made shit based on existing properties. It bothers me to an insane degree. It's not even a peeve, I hate it. I somehow feel embarrassed for the person that makes it. It's such a strange feeling, just so uncomfortable. I was going to single out fan made movie posters of movies that haven't come out yet, but there's so much more. Photoshopping actors to look like a character from a movie or tv show or comic or game or anything. Fan made movie trailers that are made entirely from preview trailers, teasers and sequels to the movie that is coming out. Hate that shit. People who make their own video games covers, print them out and actually use them. Ugh. That's so obsessive. It's a goddamn mental illness. Someone should tell them that instead of encouraging it. Cosplay that fucks shit up with the colors or the theme. I don't want to see a Hello Kitty Darth Vader or a steampunk Batman. That's like making a costume out of the garbage action figures we used to get for Xmas when we they had ran out of the original toy at the store. I know it sounds like I'm trying to suppress self expression or something, but it's just so bad. I know a lot of this stuff takes a lot of work to make sometimes, but it's always bad. It all looks like cheesy bootleg shit I grew up with in my childhood. I hated it then and I hate it now. And yes, anime music videos also fall within this realm. Fuck that.
Alex Heat
Strangelove, how do you function on the internet? It's filled with people turning any given property into ponies. Or I guess Steven Universe related things now. Is that the big thing now?
Popular Post Mister Jack
Anime purists who insist that every dub ever made is terrible regardless of what show it is or who is involved in localizing it. It's fine if you prefer to watch shows in their original language but that doesn't mean no one is capable of doing a decent translation, you fucking dorks.
Alex Heat
Even worse if they insist that watching it subbed is 'watching it as it was intended' or some such nonsense.
SomTervo
This is more of a gaming pet peeves thing, but when people say 'level geometry' instead of 'level design', fucking hell it does my head in. There are times when it's definitely worth saying 'level geometry'. But 90% of the time I see people use the phrase they're referring to aspects of how the level was designed as a space, not the geometry itself. I think I've only ever seen PC-only gamers say it, too. Sounds so bloody pretentious. Edited April 15, 2015 by kenshi_ryden
TheFlyingGerbil
PC-only gamers ... so bloody pretentious. There's a shocker. Being on the other end of the scale (a Nintendo gamer) I'm going to have to ask what level geometry actually is?
