Faiblesse Des Sens
Alienware... monitor? I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. What advantages does it (supposedly) have?

Vecha
Got a new motherboard and CPU for xmas. Upgrading from a 2.6 Quad Core AMD Phenom II X4 to a AMD A10-5800K APU Quad Core 3.8Ghz. Probably won't be using the "GPU" part of it(forgive me if I'm using the wrong terminology) as I'm pretty sure my 550Ti is a tad bit better than the graphic processing power. But I want to go with a motherboard that has the APU/FM2 potential to future proof my PC for a few more years. (ASUS AMD A85X motherboard) So...E-peen stat format. Asus AMD A85x motherboard A10-5800K AMD APU 3.8 Quad Zotac AMP! 550ti Nvidia 750Watt Apevia ATX 12GB RAM(Using two different sets...honestly don't know what they are off the top of my head...three years old..still kicking). 90GB SSD(with primarily Win7 OS) 1TB Internal Western Digitial(That is currently giving me issues.) 1TB WD External(working like champ for 3 years). 250GB Seagate External(Working for over 5 years.) deanb
http://lpc.pcgamer.com/ I believe this is the best PC money can currently buy. And you need a lot of money. Also give me two months and I'll hopefully be listing my own up here.
TheMightyEthan
That looks very similar to the PC I put together on that website FDS linked last week, except mine only had 2 Titans. And it still cost $10k. Although it did have 3x 2TB SSDs.
Mr. GOH!
Two 1TB SSDs cost more than my entire rig. I long for the day when SSDs are as cheap as HDDs.

Faiblesse Des Sens
Why did you get that PSU when your system doesn't remotely need it? Planning on getting a second 570? Even then you don't need that large of a PSU.
Mister Jack
Future proofing, perhaps?
Mal
Well, chances are he won't need a new PSU in a good long while since I bet he can just reuse that for any newer rig he decides to build.
staySICK
a) I got it when it was on sale, I believe I paid $80 or $90 for it. b) Yes I was / am planning on getting a second 570 put in it, so yea, future proofing.
Mr. GOH!
The GTX 570 is a great card, but I feel like they're very rare nowadays. Edited November 20, 2013 by Mr. GOH!
staySICK
I've found a few on ebay easily under $100.
madbassman39
I'm Running an i7-3770k with 16 gb of ram and a GTX 550ti. I'm looking at upgrading to a 770 this Xmas, mostly to just get my games to run all equally well at 1080p.
deanb
Case: Corsair Carbide 300R CPU: Intel i5 4570 3.2ghz RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Elite GPU: Gigabyte 760 OC Windforce MoBo: AsRock z87 Extreme3 HDD: 2 1TB WD drives, from my old PC. So far not managed to run it through it's paces, still getting drivers and such. Likely tomorrow I might have to do a re-install but it seems to be working perfectly fine. Case is great, though I'll likely end up getting something to pop into the top be it some dust filter or some extra fans cos a big ass grill just doesn't feel great to me. But given the fact I've assembled and disassembled it several times I think I've got a good hang of how well the case is going and I'll certainly be keeping it around for a while. Faiblesse Des Sens
You need a SSD up in that bitch. Only thing you're missing.
staySICK
Is that 4570 the unlocked k version? Very nice setup.
deanb
Nah, don't much bother with overclocking. And yeah an SSD is likely on the menu down the line.
jayc4life
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R CPU: AMD FX-6100 Zambezi RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance GPU: ASUS AMD Radeon 7850 MoBo: ASUS M5A97 PRO HDD: 1TB Samsung HDD 3Gb/s 5400RPM PSU: Corsair GS700 Keyboard: Logitech G110 Mouse: Logitech M185 And a Samsung DVD-RW drive that I don't know nor care to find out the model of because I've used it maybe 3 times since July 2012 when I built this thing. Really need to get an SSD in this thing. And/Or maybe bump the RAM up to 16GB. I've a feeling I can get another solid 12 months out of this 7850 before feeling the need to upgrade again. We'll see how the financials are when I've my holiday in March over me. Edited January 4, 2014 by jayc4life
TheMightyEthan
I'm still using the same DVD-RW drive I got for $20 when I built my first computer in 2005.
deanb
I'm on the same old blu-ray drive. And now I can actually make use of it again since I've got HDMI out on this GPU (stupid HDCP)
Vecha
I added that r9270x to my rig. God I love it. Runs awesomely cool. Runs pretty much all my games on at least high(Struggles with Metro the most...but by struggle I mean it sits in the low 30s on high).
