deanb
A pretty succinct video covering the new powers, general story etc. Turns out Jensen had loads of tech implanted that he wasn't aware of until the sequel, how convenient
TheMightyEthan
It seems like it would have created fewer problems if they'd just said he got more tech implanted between games...

madbassman39
Never got into Deus Ex, but hot damn that trailer was good. I'm known by all my friends to jokingly say I want a mechanical arm because it would be cool, and this video makes me want one more... aside from the hacking thing. I think I may have to jump into this game.
TheMightyEthan
Did you ever play Human Revolution? If not I'd try that one before jumping into this one.
deanb
Heh, some of that was from their DXHR advertising. And yeah it's good they're covering the end of DXHR instead of ignoring it. And totally worth giving DXHR a shot. It's a strong aesthetic so holds up quite well still (like, fuck the ceilings are soooooo gooood*). I tried Deus Ex, but it's clearly not aged well mechanically. Also there's the Directors Cut out which tweaks the game (though jarringly dumps "Missing Link" in). I think I've done DXHR like four times now and I think my first two shots through were almost one after another. It's about 20-30 hour range and frequently in sales (S-E have quite frequent sales on their site). There's conversational boss battles, it covers what'll be a realistic debate at some point in the growing transhumanism movement, the aesthetic is fantastic, and while essentially there's only like ...2-3 main "levels"(I believe Eidos refer to them as "hubs") in the game you have plenty of exploration throughout them and there's a nice little world, and a hint of conspiracy throughout (also there's cited medical journals throughout the levels which I only recently found out are totally legit pulling from published papers n not made up like the newspapers). You know I've written this and then I'm like "I feel some deja vu here" and what do you know: http://pressxordie.com/2011/12/14/my-game-of-the-year-deus-ex-human-revolution/ *http://imgur.com/a/FDAbV
deanb
Prague gameplay demo, seems fairly early on (I'd guess there's a prologue of sorts before this) They've also announced Deus Ex: GO Seems like the other GO games, but with hex layout instead, and they're gonna push out a puzzle maker too. Also doing a clothes line n such, and also prosthetic limbs. Cos that's a thing you do, sure.
TheMightyEthan
I really liked Hitman and Lara Croft GO, so I'm looking forward to this one.
deanb
Minimum: OS: Windows 7.1SP1 or above (64-bit Operating System Required) CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD equivalent RAM: 8 GB Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB) or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) HDD/SSD: 45 GB Recommended: OS: Windows 10 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K or AMD FX 8350 Wraith RAM: 16 GB Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 480 - 1920 x 1080 or NVIDIA GTX 970 - 1920 x 1080 HDD/SSD: 55GB (Including DLC) I'm currently in-between. Mr. GOH!
Hmmm. I might need to clean some stuff of my SSD, but I think I can make 45GB work. Once I finish and remove Human Revolution and Doom, I think I'll be set. I've decided I'm going to try mostly stealth and non-lethal combat for my first run. Human Revolution ahs been fun to play that way, though I have occasionally had to straight shoot a fool in the face on occasion.
toxicitizen
Damn, I'm way above the min but still a bit below the recommended. If games are going to regularly start wanting 16GB of RAM I'll have to add another 8GB in the near future. Just cleared some space on my Steam HDD, though, so I'm good on that front. TheMightyEthan
My CPU is midway between the two, but everything else I'm set for recommended. *Edit - I really need to start looking at upgrading my CPU/Mobo, but lets face it, there's a not-insignificant chance I'll end up buying an NX despite all my protestations. Mister Jack
So far I've been able to run every game maxed out so I'm going to try it here too. That 16 GB recommendation is new, though. I have 16 GB, but to the best of my recollection this is the first game I'd be running with such a listing.
Mr. GOH!
Yeah, It's time for me to upgrade my mobo and CPU and RAM. Then get a new GPU next year. It's nice staggering GPU and mobo upgrades.
CorgiShinobi
I'll be a pleb and get it on PS4. I got Human Revolution on PS3 because I only had a laptop at the time, and now I'll get Mankind Divided on PS4 because I don't have the funds to upgrade. deanb
In case you've not got the time to do a replay before Mankind Divided pops out. Also this which I think Cyber Rat maybe had a thing to do with.
TheMightyEthan
That video will be super handy. I'd intended to replay HR before MD came out, but then I started P3P and 50 hours later I'm still not done yet.
deanb
Launch trailer is out. Pt2 of the recap (seems they're leaving it pretty vague if Malik survived) Also Deus Ex GO has launched.
Mr. GOH!
Malik definitely didn't survive my game.

toxicitizen
I made the same mistake with Paul in the original Deus Ex. Something something can't get fooled again. I didn't know for sure I could save her but I figured there had to be a way, so I kept reloading until I managed to win the fight. It was particularly annoying on my non-lethal replay last year. If she doesn't show up at all in Mankind Divided, I'm gonna be pissed.
TheMightyEthan
There's no way she's gonna show up because she might be dead and they're not importing saves so there's no way for the game to know.
deanb
I'd say it's weird there's no save import but I guess the dirty console peasants are left out of luck on that one. Storywise she's unlikely to show up purely cos she works for Sarif and Jensen no longer does. Pritchard might pop up maybe in some capacity (I hope so. I felt they had an friendship going on).
