CorgiShinobi
Speaking of, does anyone have a steering wheel controller? For the longest time I haven't played any racing games aside from Mario Kart and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I think my last one was Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 back on the GameCube. I remember steering wheels being niche, but at the same time overpriced for their performance. However, I've been hearing that modern steering wheels have changed for the better, though I imagine its still niche for the average gamer. Faiblesse Des Sens
Speaking of PC gamepads... have I raged anywhere yet about ME3s lack of controller support? I've used things to map it but mapping the analog stick to the mouse is not even anywhere close to actually using a mouse. Which sucks. I want to play it from my couch. Is there some sort of really great analog to mouse software that I can use? Currently I'm using Pinnacle Game Profiler.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, there's no excuse for any game with a console version not to support a gamepad on PC.
deanb
Didn't assume everyone was an elitist. For the most part it comes down to preference, and I wouldn't care if anyone scoffed at me for using a controller for something like Skyrim or whatever else. If someone was going to go off on a console in an elitist nature, but simultaneously using its controller for his "superior machine," that to me is being hypocritical because without that console, you wouldn't have that controller for your platform. Well to be fair a part of what generally makes PC a "superior machine" is because you can pretty much hook it up with whatever controller input you wish. All the 7th gen controllers work with PC, including Kinect, and 8th gen is looking to head that way too with just Xbone being the hold-out at the moment. Most PC vs Console stuff tends to boil down to open vs closed nature of the two. You don't have much choice on what controller you want to play a console game with. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, open/closed nature and better graphics. The only time I see people being elitist about controllers is in specific genres, like shooters, or specific games, like Skyrim, that just work better with a kb/m. For driving games, or 3rd-person action games, controllers are just better.

A friend of mine has the Logitech Driving Force GT, and I've tried it on Euro Truck Simulator 2, Grid 2 and Need For Speed Most Wanted. Definitely an improvement on the wheels of yesteryear, that's for sure. If Forza Motorsport ever decided to come out on the PC, I'd totally buy one myself.
