RockyRan
Currently a 360 exclusive, but my 360 isn't connected online and it'd be a pain in the ass to change that, so if anything I'll probably wait for the PS3 version whenever it comes out (don't have time to play it right now anyway). I do have a question, though. I've heard the PC version of this is coming out later as well, do you guys reckon I should wait for it? Or is the game strictly a console affair in terms of gameplay structure? That is, is there anything in the game that could be augmented by it being on a PC? Oh, and I guess this topic is also here to discuss anything regarding the HD remake. So discuss. Now. Or leave.
deanb
Well I'm pretty damn sure the PC version is in HD anyway
WTF
Well I'm pretty damn sure the PC version is in HD anyway That's true but it's not optimised for 16:9 the last time I checked . If I can get an optimised version it'll be nice. I might get it for the PS3 at some point still have the PS2 version and my PC version's somewhere. toxicitizen
Yeah, Dean. While most PC games can technically run in HD resolutions without any issues, a lot of them don't support it properly. For example, stretched HUDs. That kinda shit drives me nuts. I own BG&E on Steam but my gamepad was kinda wonky with it and I wasn't crazy about its M+K controls, so I've been waiting for the HD makeover... Just one of those rare games that I feel plays better with a gamepad/on a console. And if they're bothering to re-release it on PC as well ( first I hear about that, though), then I think it's safe to assume they put a little bit more work in it than just cranking up the resolution (like fixing textures and such so they look better in the new res). Also, Beyond Good and Evil HD is a 360 exclusive?! What... That sucks, I was sure I had heard it was coming out simultaneously on PS3... I'm assuming timed-exclusive, but still.. that's bullshit! excel_excel
Fuck yeah buying it right now!!! They tidied up the textures and all didn't they?

Yeah, it's a timed exclusive. As someone else eloquently put it, it's part of Microsoft's "we want more exclusives, even just for a little while" initiative. excel_excel
Its good! Shows it ages of course despite the shininess in many ways, but I'm enjoying it so far. Ohhh Pey'j!
FredEffinChopin
This is one of the more annoying timed exclusives. An HD re-release, really? How fucking petty can a bloodsucking corporation get? ....Nevermind that question.
Johnny
Meh, honestly, I don't feel the difference in visuals is at all worth paying for. Great for people who haven't played it though.
Strangelove
Bought it on PSN when it came out and I still havent played it yet. Fuck me in the face.
Hot Heart
Like Bastion, this is one of the games I will get round to when I have the time. Which is, by the looks of it, around December/January.

Waldorf and Statler
I had never played the game when it was on the original xbox, so once I finished this I was super hyped for the sequel. But from what I've seen on a preview, it seems they're taking away the aliens/cartoonish quality of this one in favor of more human-level technology. Hopefully that was just a preview of what the game might be and not an actual plan for it.
deanb
I was going to borrow the PC version of this off ben, but he warded me away from it saying it's not aged well (i/e widescreen n stuff) And thus I've yet to play it.
TheFlyingGerbil
I couldn't spot a BG&E2 thread so I'll pop this in here. The game won't be out on this current gen of consoles. Michel Ancel wants to create the game he envisioned for the first one which had to be cut down substantially to work on the last gen and the current gen obviously still isn't up to snuff. At least it is confirmed the are working toward a target. We can only hope the next gen is powerful enough for it!
deanb
The last scrap of news about this was 6 years ago!
Mister Jack
I don't understand why they'd make a prequel when the whole reason people were clamoring for another game is because the last one ended on a cliffhanger.
Mr. GOH!
Eh, I'm more than happy to go back to the BGE universe even if it is in an open-world prequel with swearing apes. I played the first relatively late (in 2007, I think), and I cannot recall much of the story aside from being super charmed by it. Fuck, I don't care about the MP, either, as long as it's optional.
