TheFlyingGerbil
I'm guessing quite a few of you loved okami and some were excited about Okamiden. Well, it's out soon and there is a demo on the Wii's Nintendo channel. I just had a go and was... underwhelmed. It's a rather clunky mix of buttons and stylus so most of the time you;ll be using the buttons while holding the stylus - awkward. Another weirdness is that you can tap the screen to advance text, but when a choice comes up (e.g. hear more info: yes/no) it's on the top screen so you can't select it with the stylus and have to use the d-pad. I'd have thought they'd take a leaf out of Zelda's book and have it all use the touch screen with just the shoulder button to bring up the drawing area. The other disappointment was the graphics. Okami was beautiful but it doesn't translate well to the low res screen the black outlines are much too prominent and messy and look like someone has tried to scribble out the characters so you cannot see any detail in them. It was only what I guess was the opening tutorial level so it was interrupted by a lot of talking so I'm guessing/hoping the game proper will play more smoothly. I was really looking forward to this game and have been disappointed by the demo. I will probably still buy it but it will definitely be when it comes down in price. CorgiShinobi
I might be losing my job, so I might not be getting any games for a while. Shame because I was looking into Okamiden. Okami is easily in my Top 5!
Battra92
I need to decide soon if I want to cancel my preorder. Yeah the LE Stylus is cool and all but I have Pokemon to start and honestly, I just haven't had the time and money is getting a little tight. Guess I should decide by tonight, most likely.
