Baconrath
Don't watch Kaze no Stigma unless you like the main characters being terrible people and seeing the wind blown short skirt gag for the nth time : /

Mister Jack
One Punch Man is getting an anime. If you haven't heard of it, it's a manga that started as a webcomic about a superhero named Saitama who is so monstrously strong that he can defeat literally any enemy (including kaiju) in a single punch. However, because of this his life has become extremely boring and he's going through an existential crisis. I'm enjoying the manga so far so I'm looking forward to this adaptation. Mister Jack
Since One Punch Man only comes out once a month and the wait for the next One Piece is killing me, I picked up Boku No Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) to fill the void. I imagine some of you probably know about it already, but it's about a world where 80% of the population is born with a superpower, or "Quirk" as the series chooses to call them. The main character, Midoriya, is one of the few unlucky people to be born with no Quirk whatsoever, but it's still his dream to attend Yuuei Academy, Japan's most prestigious hero school. Even though the series is Japanese, it obviously takes a lot of cues from western cape comics. One thing I really like are the pages drawn to look like the cover of an American comic book, like this one: Also I can't get enough of Asui Tsuyu, aka "Frog Girl." Mister Jack
Whoops, I forgot for a bit that anime and manga were two separate threads. I guess you can move that post if you feel the need to, Ethan.
Mal
Like for the wait for GTAV PC, the wait for Little Witch Academia 2 is coming to a close soon. I helped Kickstarted it about two years ago. It should be a fun time. On a unrelated note, The Rolling Girls was alright but it was a disappointment. It would have been better if it had two cours so they could attempt to flesh out the last half. The ending was rushed to say the least. Regardless, I need the artbook for this. The character designs are just too charming for me.
deanb
Can totally tell who Hange is. Other than that my japanese is a little rusty to non existent, so yeah apart from Mikasa can't really tell other folks. Would have figured Armin would be easy to spot. Mal
Coming in July. I helped fund it back in 2013. It's almost here. I love the details so far and that is one of the reasons I funded this. Now if only I can help crowdfund a Redline-like movie.
Mal
So... I'm finally getting around to watch Trigun and Outlaw Star. Considered classics back in the early 2000's, you don't really hear much about them now when classics comes up. Let see if they hold up! CorgiShinobi
Still have my old DVD collections of the two. They are very much 90's anime, proportions and all. Trigun still holds up, but I haven't gone through Outlaw Star recently. I have nostalgia for it, but there are definitely goofy moments last time I gave it a watch. I mean, there's ancient Chinese magic (Tao Magic) in the middle of space ship battles!
deanb
I've started on Neon Genesis Evangalion the other day. About 4-5 episodes in so far. It's my "30 minute show" atm now I've wrapped up Young Justice (which was really good). It's a really slow show.
Mal
Trigun hold up pretty well. Some story oddities but nothing too weird. Trigun has some sort of Christian magic. Edit: Done. Holds up. Skimming the manga, that seems a bit more fleshed out but I guess this one is more concise. More or less everything happens in the same order but the manga got some extra neat bits. Edited July 1, 2015 by MaliciousH

Mister Jack
Dragon Ball Super has premiered! It's in Japanese of course but I imagine it will be translated in a matter of days at most.
Mal
I powered through the first two seasons of Symphogear to catch up with the third season. Not to say its perfect but the series is /m/ as fuck. It has music, mecha musume, magical (girls) and macho manly men. Mysteries everywhere. If I was a teenager, I would be so all over this series but as I said, its not perfect. It likes to pull off unexpected twists to "clean up" some plot points that they don't have time to expand on. Not expanding on some of the stuff that does happen is also a problem. With my favorite /m/ series, Gurren Lagann, I could use Spiral Power to explain a lot. This series, it's WTF territory. Still massively enjoyable. I just wish there were some real threats... with the third (or fourth) series, I can only see them pulling a GaoGaiGar Final (Another massively /m/ series but it got its own flaws). One specific thing that I got to praise is how generally well this series uses its OP, ED and at time uses the time space to expand some more. Like this: Dragon Ball Super has premiered! It's in Japanese of course but I imagine it will be translated in a matter of days at most. I should get into the modern Dragon Ball stuff. I've heard that they're not bad... for one thing, Buu is around in his lovely self.
CorgiShinobi
I watched most of KIll la Kill as of tonight. Watched it on Toonami and tonight was the last episode. So I did miss some of the early episodes, but I knew the basis of the show for a long time. Not sure what to make of it, if I'm honest here. There's stuff I love, and stuff that didn't do it for me. I get most of the nudity is tongue-in-cheek, but there's still the fanservice element to it. The main antagonist getting all, well spoilers... Ragyo, the mother of our two protagonists, getting incestuous at times. Not to mention her random orgasms when things are getting intense. You can feel the Gurren Lagann in the series, which is something I love. The action, battles, and presentation are all top-notch. Just, from time to time I gotta cringe when thinks get a little too sexy. Edited August 2, 2015 by Atomsk88
Mal
Can't stand the ? Also you must have missed the CGI shitfest that was episode 4 but maybe Toonami aired a fixed version. I think Kill la Kill is solid. Still though, you'll be still chasing the high that was Gurren Lagann. Hard to beat what I think is one of the anime of its decade. Saturnine Tenshi
Watched an episode of Shimoneta. Not sure how I feel about it. Also watching iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. I need to start Koufuku Graffiti at some point. I didn't mind the "nudity" in Kill la Kill, but I also didn't watch more than 10 episodes. Mal
I love Shimoneta. Kind of predictable though and, yes, some of the stuff that happens can be seen as quite sexist but it's a fun anime. The moment I got sold was oddly this and her: The other stuff are just icing on the cake.
