So, I guess the second season of Berserk is starting tomorrow? I still haven't watched the first one...
But between this, Attack on Titan season 2 FINALLY starting and Crunchyroll finally having My Hero Academia, the temptation to reactivate my premium sub is growing.
Oh and while I'm here, any news about Vento Aureo? I need JoJo to be back in my life. [emoji20]

Nothing on Jojo yet. Believe me, when they announce it I'll be the first one to know. I wouldn't bother with Berserk either. The CG completely butchers it and the camera is so bad that I actually got motion sick watching it.

My Hero Academia is fun stuff though.

The worst part about the Berserk CG is that from what I've seen they've actually fixed at least some of it for the bluray release.

The hand drawn version looks so much better it's not even funny. I mean, fuck that shit, I'll resub to Crunchyroll but I'm torrenting that bluray version.

If only I could experience GitS:SAC for the first time again.

Me third. 3DCG is a terrible mistake here. It works for stuff like Gdgd Fairies and Kemono Friends (somewhat) but not Berserk. Berserk deserves better. Of course then there's the missing arcs and such... eh.

And holy shit that's a massive difference between aired and BD. The CG one looks so dumpy.

Tried that dragon maid anime, and it was disappoint how bad it was. :( Going to try the one with the Axis cult next.

At least Maid Dragon got nice MADs. As for Axis cult... it either means Youjo Senki or Konosuba. One got not-Nazis with duck face people. It's pretty good from what I seen and hear. The other is a comfy yet pervy anime set in a MMO-Fantasy setting that is just plain awesome. Well, maybe not the Axis Order since their followers are weird. Really explains Aqua, the Goddess of the Axis Cu- Order.

I wonder where it's going to fit, I'm a little confused by all the versions of GitS. There's a lot of overlap with TV story arcs being condensed into movies and movies being chopped up into episodes and whatnot. When you need to go on wikipedia to figure out what you should watch and what you should skip, you know there's a problem. It's basically the anime equivalent of a Ubisoft Collector's Edition...

Anyway, re:Stand Alone Complex. I somehow only got around to watching the entire first season last Fall. For a show made 15 years ago, it holds up incredibly well visually. If I didn't know how old it actually is and you told me it was made 5 years ago I'd probably believe you. I was planning on watching 2nd GIG and Psycho-Pass after but ended up starting Code Geass instead. Then I lost interest like 5 episodes into that and haven't watched any anime since. It probably didn't help that I had just made myself suffer through 10 episodes of Durarara before finally giving up on it. I probably should've dropped it way earlier than that...

For SAC, the anime came before the movies that condense down each seasons' main plot. I would just stick to the TV series so things have time to stew and you can get to know the characters better. I honestly don't recall the summary movies till you mentioned it. Solid State Society though is after the 2nd GIG. It was pretty neat and the last we got of this timeline.

The original movie and Innocence are on another timeline. Most heavy in tone.

The manga is on another and is the original. It has a even more light hearted tone than SAC which maintains a more serious tone.

Then there is Arise. I don't like Arise.
Lastly there is the movie. I'm apprehensive about it.

Anyways, FLD, get to the 2nd GIG. Some episodes are just legendary.

For GitS stuff I'd understood it to be a kind of series of loosely connected media based around a single core universe. Sort of I guess a bit like Final Fantasy (though a lot more recurring characters).

As for the age, yeah it looks pretty modern. The Tachikomas being done in 3D is pretty decent for the time. This is only like 6 years after Toy Story, and with a cartoon shader on.

I didn't realize the first episode of My Hero Academia Season 2 was already out until I browsing Hulu last night.

It's such an amazing series, especially Deku and his relationship to All Might. It's very inspirational and the supporting cast strengthening the main characters even more. Actually, I would say even the supporting characters get "main character" spotlight from time to time.

You sure you're not dreaming and breathing Friends? And Professor and Assistant are magnificent little shits.

Fennic is smug as hell.

The foxes are just cute. Red is a NEET while Silver is the responsible one.

SUGOOOOOOI

( ̄3 ̄)

That's the bits of the first episode on the left. That chase bit is probably the worst the animation ever got. That or the whole lot of us got used to it... now we're memeing it to hell and back.

I'm in withdrawal.

Well, this is weird but I'm intrigued. At the very least, it doesn't look like complete dogshit.

It's directed by Takashi Miike, so his Ace Attorney adaptation should be a decent way to gauge whether or not this is worth getting excited for. Haven't seen it yet but I'm pretty sure I've had it sitting on my hard drive for a little while. Should watch it soon.

Grape-kun only has until June 25th or so to be with his waifu in body since that's when the promo ends. Of course they can keep the cutout there just for Grape-kun. Eventually though, he will join her in spirit. They live to around 20 years and if Grape-kun never mated, then he's beyond a wizard. It should also be noted initially he refused to eat and instead wanted to be by her side. Anyhow, I love the fan art to Kemono Friends, especially with Grape-kun

Left is before it was know Grape-kun was -kun, not -chan.
