Waldorf and Statler
Yeah I warned Dee about the same. I was surprised but his role isn't any less badass.
Waldorf and Statler
So I decided to finally give Code Geass a proper watch instead of an episode here and there. Pretty damn good. Best anime ever? Hardly. Also I found myself cheering for Suzaku 95% of the time. Don't know why Western audiences hate him so much but I like the guy. Saturnine Tenshi
One of my favorites, that. :V Turns out I just watched episode 7 of Jintai. Need to watch a few more before I can really respond to you, Malicious.

Waldorf and Statler
Anime has 20+ episodes scheduled. I have a feeling they're gonna REALLY go in-depth into the story or hope the mangaka hurries the fuck up lol. They also need to find a good ending point just in case they ever decide to do a second season
Mal
They could do training fillers... There is also enough time skips for them to have enough to screw around with. Another thing is I've noticed that they expanded scenes from the manga. I'm guessing a good point for them to stop is... The Wall. That or right after the failure to capture Annie.I'm also sure they'll start an episode with Ilse (The one from the side story and found a titan that talked and referred to Ymir)
Waldorf and Statler
Yeah I haven't read stuff in a while but I would assume a good stopping point is Whenever what's-her-face [i'm assuming Annie] decides to go into stasis in that crystal thingamajig
Mal
I never watched this anime but I love this way too much...
Waldorf and Statler
If you're looking for engrish I have a bunch of favorite scenes. A recent reminder was in Steins;Gate. "Hey-a. Wanna rick my a-rorripop?" Which reminds me for those who are SG fans and didn't know, movie came out like last month I believe so translation should be at some point this summer hopefully. Waldorf and Statler
Watched the first two episodes of Attack on Titan. So far the animation is really empowering the story-telling. Wow. What fucking quality.
Mal
Dat Armored Titan, am I right? They did that scene way better than the manga. I can't wait for the battles if they keep up the quality. If it drops, then there is always the BD releases.
Waldorf and Statler
Yeah that armored Titan. And now that I've caught up with the manga and know more about the colossal and armored titan, shit is getting good. So do you think tomorrow's episode will be the one dealing with Eren getting chomped? Because if so I might just tell my friends to trust me and wait till next weekend and catch both parts. That'd be a HORRIBLE cliffhanger to leave it in and I don't want to do that to them haha
Mal
Nah, training. Maybe even two episode worth of it. The mangaka like to use flash backs a lot but I don't think it'll sit well when its an anime. It would cause problems with pacing. Don't get me wrong though, flash backs are important, especially with this mangaka. With that said... I wonder how much hints will the anime drop. I was storming through the manga but if I paid attention, I would of caught who were the Colossal and Armored Titans were. Hell, Ymir would of been clued in as well since the side story mentioned her name via a Titan.I personally caught Annie being the Female Titan because there was no way to mistaken that fighting style. Hell, one panel, which I missed, even had her guarding the nape of her neck when sparring. I just never noticed just how close she was to Reiner and Bertholdt.Lastly, Eren being chomped. He's the MC, so he had to be SOMEHOW alive. Its a WTF moment for sure but you had to be thinking a Jesus moment was coming. I just didn't expect a titan. So yeah. I'm loving this series. Its sort of like a mecha series now but with monsters.
Saturnine Tenshi
Up to episode 10 in Jintai. Still a decent watch. And episode 3 of Oreimo season 2. Edited April 21, 2013 by Saturnine Tenshi
Waldorf and Statler
FUCK ME I've found some great animes. One is apparently a remake from an old show. But the comical old-school early anime schtick they might have had got changed. I give to you Space Battleship Yamato 2199 If you're a fan of Battlestar Galactica or Star Trek YOU MOTHERFUCKING OWE IT TO YOURSELF. LIKE FO REALSIES NIGGA. To watch this show. So far there's only 14 episodes aired out of 18 or 20 planned for the first season. But being the huge sci-fi nerd that I am, I am jizzing over how good everything is. It's literally like the two shows mentioned above. A great cast of character. A likable hero. Cool freaking space battleship battles. SCIENCE'N'SHIT. FUCK AAAAAAAAAH I LOVE IT SO MUCH. AND I'VE ONLY SEEN 7 EPISODES. Also another one that just started, outside of Attack on Titan, is called Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. Very moe. But animation is good. So far we only have three episodes out but I like the animation and the "fish out of water, only the fish whoops ass" story. Give it a watch, you might enjoy it. If you have any idea about any similar anime pleast let me know.
Mal
Space Battleship Yamato is indeed a classic. I just never got around to it for reasons, one is being its age. Anime from that time period is funky (See Captain Harlock... absolute badasses but I need to finish it). Anyways, you just gave me the small push to watch the remake. The second show also have caught my eye, I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm waiting for it to get further along before I jump on. Same thing with the other mecha series by Bandai, which could be another Gundam SEED clone (Which is a MSG 0079 clone). Now... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBlqxEIJ_Cg Honestly, now none of you have a reason why to not watch this. Uploaded by the studio WITH SUBS. Waldorf and Statler
Let me know what you think of Space Battleship. From what I can gather, the original had a couple of ecchi stuff, which I haven't seen here besides one nurse character who I'm guessing is the staple character for that in the show. Also apparently they pulled a BSG in the sense that the original used to have a male pilot, and the remake transformed the male pilot into a female one. As to the show you posted, that's very well animated and has high production values. I'm sure it's great too. I'm just not very big on all-girl-cast slice of life shows. Like that musical one, or any of those Lucky Star-like shows.
Saturnine Tenshi
I may give those a watch. Put them on my list. Though the style of the second's (Gargantia) male character reminds me of a shounen twat. I hope that isn't the case. Speaking of slice of life: you need to watch Nichijou if you haven't. Heck, how about all-boy casts? Cromartie High!
Waldorf and Statler
I don't think an all-boys cast would solve the problem lol. I enjoy very few slice of life shows. They must either be really well done [Kinds on the Slope] or have enough quirky humor I'll enjoy it [school Rumble]
Saturnine Tenshi
Well, both of those have quirky humor. That's the only reason I enjoyed them. I think slice of life shows like Hidamari Sketch and Yuru Yuri are awful.
Waldorf and Statler
FFFFFFFFFF I'm about to catch up with Yamato. And the problem is they apparently released these 14 or so episodes as a couple of movies beforehand, and the tv airing just started like the sevent of this month. So if there are no other movies to finish the first season, I'll have to wait till like june or july before the show catches up. edit: nevermind the show is having a really weird format. They're releasing 3 episodes every 3 months for the dvd. I think the TV show might eventually outpace the dvd release, but May 28th the next three episodes will be released. So I have quite the wait till the next set. Shit I swear I need to find one or two shows with a similar format to watch or I'll be anime-less. At least in terms of being able to marathon anime shows I'm interested about. I'll be forced to only watch it on a weekly basis. Saturnine Tenshi
Finished Jintai. Not bad all things considered. Didn't mention it earlier, but the third episode of season 2 of OreImo was much better than the second. Gave some backstory to a heretofore secondary character that had only been very lightly hinted at.
Waldorf and Statler
So after watching some more Attack on Titan I have a better idea on how the next episode is going to end. For those in the know-how I feel that Eren is going to get eaten around the second half of the episode, and the titan will be introduced in the last 2 or 3 minutes. The last thing they'll most likely put before it cuts to the 'to be continued' will be either showing the titan fighting the others and somebody saying 'why is he doing that?' or somehow giving a hint to the audence/outright somebody stating that the Titan is Eren
